The episode started with the ABC show contestants jetting off to Malta for their International cast trip. During the trip, Lexi Young bagged the first date and the duo had a romantic evening trolling and shopping on the streets of Malta.
Joey and Lexi also visited a historic church and the parish priest advised them about the importance of having children in marriage. Back in the house, Sydney shared with Jess that she was shocked Maria was still around despite her complaint about Maria to Joey the previous week.
Sydney said that being around Maria was "affecting my health. I’m exhausted." Maria also confronted Sydney for continuously calling her a "bully." The contestants then received another envelope which was for a group date. Notably, Sydney and Maria were not on the group date's list.
Jenn, Daisy, Edwina, Katelyn, Allison, Rachel, Autumn, Jess, Kelsey T, Madina, Lea, and Kelsey A enjoyed a group date with Joey. During the date, Joey's suitors had a sword fight and a staring competition before Kelsey and Daisy kissed Joey.
During the cocktail evening, Joey and Daisy spent some cozy time and had a conversation about their future kids. Joey supported Rachel while wearing glasses for her. Meanwhile, Kelsey T won the group date rose during the cocktail party.
