Tyler Stanaland is leaving the Oppenheim Group to ‘work for his dad’ at Douglas Elliman

In October 2023, Tyler Stanaland decided to leave the Oppenheim Group and join his father, John Stanaland, at the real estate company Douglas Elliman. This move was confirmed by Jason Oppenheim, and Tyler's profile is no longer listed on the Oppenheim Group's website.

In a statement to PEOPLE, Tyler explained his decision: "Leaving the Oppenheim Group wasn’t an easy decision, but it is the right decision for me and my clients. Not only am I joining my dad and brother at Douglas Elliman, but I’m also aligning with a brand that has unparalleled reach and presence in the market, with a renowned network of agents and industry leaders.”

Despite his departure from the Oppenheim Group, Tyler will still be featured in the upcoming season 3 of Selling The OC. However, it seems unlikely that he will appear in any future seasons, as he stated, "Selling the OC revolves around agents at the Oppenheim Group. As of today, I will be working at Douglas Elliman."

‘Selling The OC's Tyler Stanaland opens up about ‘surviving’ through his divorce with Brittany Snow

In the first episode, Tyler candidly shared his emotional journey with Alex Hall, revealing that he was currently in a state of "surviving" and "getting through" the divorce.

Opening up about his recent experiences, Tyler disclosed, "I was married for two years, and as of recently, I'm going through a public divorce." Despite the ongoing legal process, he emphasized that while it was undoubtedly difficult and heartbreaking, there was also room for positivity amidst the turmoil.

He talked about how there's this idea that divorce and change are always negative, but he doesn't think that's entirely true. Tyler believes there can be some positive aspects to it too, even though it's a challenging process.

Tyler also mentioned that since he and his ex Brittany Snow didn't have kids, things were a bit simpler in some ways but also more complicated in others.
