Reef Hawk has achieved everything he set out for. A major Hollywood career, a glamorous lifestyle, and the whole works. However, somewhere down the line, he made plenty of enemies who wouldn't let him forget his past. That's the strange predicament that Keanu Reeves finds himself in the upcoming Apple Original film 'Outcome'.

Directed by Jonah Hill, 'Outcome' is an upcoming dark comedy film set for worldwide release on Apple TV on Friday, April 10. A trailer for 'Outcome' was recently released, in which Reeves sums up the movie's crux by asking himself, "Who hates me?"

The trailer instantly establishes Hawk as arguably the world's biggest movie star. His contributions to more than one of Hollywood's hottest franchises catapulted him to unprecedented fame.

Putting the grind behind him, Hawk decided to take a five-year sabbatical. However, scarcely did his fans and the public at large know that Hawk was battling a crippling heroin addiction all this time.

The official synopsis of 'Outcome' explains, "Outcome' is a dark comedy that centers on Reef Hawk (Reeves), a beloved Hollywood star who must dive into the depths of his hidden demons after he is extorted with a mysterious video that’s sure to shatter his image and end his career. With the support of his lifelong besties, Kyle (Diaz) and Xander (Bomer), along with his crisis lawyer, Ira (Hill), Reef embarks on a soul-searching journey to make amends with anyone he could have possibly wronged in hopes of identifying the blackmailer. Co-writer and director Hill brings a unique lens to Reef’s wild but spiritually cleansing, nostalgic, and eye-opening trip down memory lane, where confronting his past might be the only way to rescue his future."

As Hawk prepares wholeheartedly for a comeback, he is suddenly confronted with a video that could bury him and his career. Hawk must now open up his past to identify and make amends with whoever is posing this threat.

Matt Bomer and Cameron Diaz star as Xander and Kyle, the only two friends Hawk has beside him. Hill himself stars as crisis management lawyer Ira Slitz. He is almost unrecognizable in the trailer with his bald plate and grey beard.

The rest of the cast includes Laverne Cox, David Spade, Susan Lucci, Atsuko Okatsuka, Welker White, Roy Wood Jr., Kaia Gerber, and Ivy Wolk. Veteran director Martin Scorsese also appears as a talent agent who has been living rough for quite a while. Ezra Woods wrote 'Outcome' in association with Hill.

The movie is produced by Alison Goodwin, Matt Dines, and Hill. The movie's executive producer is Adam Merims. 'Outcome' also marks the second narrative feature film for Hill as a director, and he had previously helmed the coming-of-age flick 'mid90s' back in 2018.
