'Fallout' Season 2 is set to premiere early on Prime Video. Earlier, Amazon announced the new instalment will release on Tuesday, December 16 at 6 PM PT — a day earlier than the originally announced December 17 date. The new season picks up right after the debut run's epic finale and will see the audience go through what has been labeled as a promising adventure through the Mojave wastelands to the post-apocalyptic New Vegas.

Season 2's logline reads, "In the aftermath of Season One’s epic finale, take audiences along for a journey through the wasteland of the Mojave to the post-apocalyptic city of New Vegas." The new season of 'Fallout' premieres December 16, 2025, on Prime Video. The episodes drop weekly. Season 2 stars Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Walton Goggins, Kyle MacLachlan, Moisés Arias, and Frances Turner in major roles.

Earlier, star Ella Purnell teased what was in store in the new instalment. "At times, it’s like [they] are on this buddy road trip," she told CBR. "And then other times, they’re so much at odds." The actress further hinted that their road trip has high risks and some surprises along the way.

"They’re trying to influence each other and see who’s going to rub off on whom. Is the Ghoul going to become good? Is Lucy going to become bad? Or are they going to be somewhere in the middle?" Theroux weighed in as well, saying, "We have a couple of really incredible scenes that are just these big, heavyweight bouts of intellect," the actor teased. "It was like doing Waiting For Godot in the middle of the whole thing."

Goggins had previously stated that season 2 would be better than its predecessor. According to Deadline,  "We're in the middle of filming it right now, we've been at it since November, and I can tell you that I thought Season 1 was extraordinary. Personally, I was very pleased with it. This blows it out of the water, what these writers have done and the artisans that have come together to tell this story. It’s really gonna be something. I can’t wait for people to see it. We’re working really hard to make that happen."

With the new season dropping early, 'Fallout' fans will be thrilled to see their wait cut short. Only time will tell if the latest lives upto the level of expectations the show set in it's debut season.
