When does 'The Voice' Season 29 episode 3 air? Everything we know about final round of blind auditions
Coaches Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson, and John Legend will return to their red seats in search of the next great singer in the third episode of 'The Voice,' titled 'The Blinds Part 3.' The episode, featuring the final night of Blind Auditions, airs at 8 p.m. ET on March 9, only on NBC. The singing reality series, themed 'Battle of Champions,' premiered on February 23 with a two-hour episode. Host Carson Daly kicked off the latest season with Part 1 of Blind Auditions, where a few hopeful singers wowed the coaches with their electric performances and joined their respective teams.
At the end of the Blind Auditions, 10 artists will be added to each of the three teams coached by the coaches. This round also includes the 'Triple Turn Competition,' a fresh format update introduced as part of the show's rebranding efforts. If an artist gets all three coaches to turn their chairs, they get the power to choose their team. In the end, the coach with the most such artists (who received three-chair turns) will win the Super Steal advantage, which can be used in the Battle round to prevent another coach from stealing their artists. The Blind Auditions will lead to the Battles and Knockout rounds, followed by the semi-final and finale.
During the Blind Auditions Part 2, which aired on Monday, 22-year-old Kentucky aspirant, Hunter Jordan, performed Billy Currington's 'Let Me Down Easy.' His soulful rendition easily earned him a three-chair turn, sparking an intense battle among the coaches to land him on their teams. Levine made a heartfelt appeal to the country singer to help him 'break the mold' and join Team Adam, which paid off. Another three-chair artist, JW Griffin, joined Team Kelly after performing Charlie Daniels' single 'Long Haired Country Boy.' Mike Steele, who also earned a Triple Turn with his performance of Giveon’s 'For Tonight,' chose to join Team John. Going into episode 3, Levine leads the Triple Turn race with three artists, with the 'Maroon 5' singer also breaking his country curse after adding Jordan to his team.
Like the last two episodes, viewers can expect a diverse lineup of contestants to take center stage next week and impress the coaches with their unique musical talents. The upcoming episode is sure to be packed with moments of joy, disappointment, surprise, and excitement as the contestants put their best foot forward for a chance to progress to the Battles round. Additionally, the camaraderie and competitive spirit between Levine, Clarkson, and Legend are another highlight of this season, as all of them have won past seasons of the show and know how to spot a winner. Online viewers can watch the latest episodes of 'The Voice' Season 29 on Peacock the day after its premiere on NBC.
