It has been a while since we saw the ‘Kings of Moombahton’. Being the only major co-ed K-pop group at the moment, Kard first turned heads for their summer bops followed by a change in style with strong and fierce comebacks from ‘Dumb Litty’ to ‘Gunshot’. Well, with J.seph being the only eligible Korean male in the group, he had to enlist for his mandatory military service which led to the group going on an undefined hiatus.

Kard consists of the female members Somin and Jiwoo, and the male members BM and J.seph. However, BM is of American nationality since he is from LA and so was exempt from South Korea’s mandatory military service. J.seph enlisted in October 2020 but has been active on social media for fans and was seen joining extracurricular activities like the military musical ‘Meissa’s Song’ with the likes of EXO’s Chanyeol, Infinite’s L and B.A.P’s Daehyun.

When is Kard returning

While we did get the occasional performance with the remaining three Kard members like at Kcon in 2020, the K-pop group has not yet made a comeback since October 2020. BM made his solo debut last year with the single ‘Broken Me’ and has been working on his solo music career by collaborating with the likes of AleXa and Jessi. Somin is busy with her modeling gigs and beauty YouTube channel while the youngest member Jiwoo has been stealing the spotlight on competition shows like ‘Double Trouble’.

However, fans are excited with the latest update as we are about to get Kard back much sooner than expected. With J.seph set to get discharged from the military in April, fans have been asking the remaining members how they would celebrate his return. Well, BM had the perfect response when asked in an interview as he said, “We’re not [celebrating]. He’s got to come to the studio right away and get ready to work. (Laughs.) We’re planning a summer come back and then another world tour.” BM also made Instagram posts of him preparing for their comeback.

'Look at them thriving'

Excited fans made tweets like, “World tour??? take my money rn.” Another fan posted, “Crying screaming having a meltdown.” One shared, “Another Tour?! THEY ARE ALIVE AND KICKING look at them thriving.” A new fan said,  “Bm said he's doing cb prep on instagram MY FIRST KARD CB IS FINALLY APPROACHING, JSEPH MY LOVE IS COMING HOME.” One made a reaction meme, “Hidden kard twt the day KARD finally makes their comeback:.” Another fan added, “Aaaaaaaaaa, KARD IS COMING AND WOLD TOUR, YES, I AM READY FOR EVERITHING, Lets go KARD, the good stuff is coming hiddenies.”
