When will ‘Will Trent’ Season 4 air? ABC trailer teases major character return amid death concerns
Such has been the success of 'Will Trent' that fans have been waiting for the premiere of season 4. The latest promo offers a glimpse of what to expect from the new instalment and a musical treat while at it. The latest sees Ramón Rodríguez, Erika Christensen, Iantha Richardson, Jake McLaughlin, Sonja Sohn, Kevin Daniels, Cora Lu Tran, and even Bluebell the dog grooving to “Time Has Come Today” by The Chambers Brothers. The series is expected to be released in January next year.
According to Us Weekly, the stylish sequence is a nod to the 2025 Emmy nomination. Per the outlet, Rodriguez weighed in on his character. "Will can be pretty tense and set in his ways — maybe even a little neurotic. So it’s refreshing to see him finally let go and have some fun,” Rodríguez spoke of the sneak peek. "A theme we’ve talked about this season is Will unraveling, and that can take many forms."
"In this promo, it shows up as something light, fun, and carefree in spirit. I think it’s a bold, fresh way to kick off season 4 — and we had an absolute blast filming it!" He also added, "Growing up in an apartment with three sisters and a mother who loved to dance, I didn’t really have a choice,” he recalled. “Birthdays, holidays — any excuse for a party — I’d get pulled onto the floor and had to learn fast to keep up with them."
The 46-year-old also shed light on the opportunity to dance. "I have to say, our cast can move! Last season, we had an episode where Will was drugged, and the entire cast entered his hallucination dancing — it was such a delight to watch," he said. "There isn’t a weak link in the group. We can go toe-to-toe with anyone, and we’re lucky to have an incredible duo of choreographers who keep us looking sharp."
Also sharing his two cents on the promo was Daniels. "I have to say, our cast can move! Last season, we had an episode where Will was drugged, and the entire cast entered his hallucination dancing — it was such a delight to watch," he remarked. "There isn’t a weak link in the group. We can go toe-to-toe with anyone, and we’re lucky to have an incredible duo of choreographers who keep us looking sharp."
The much-awaited 'Will Trent' Season 4 releases January 6 on ABC.
