What is the plot of 'Drops of God'?
Alexandre Leger, who is the creator of the famous Leger Wine Guide and is a symbolic figure in enology, died at the age of 60 in Tokyo, leaving the world of gastronomy and fine wines in mourning. Camille Leger, Alexandre's Paris-based daughter, travels to Tokyo for her father's funeral, where his will is read aloud and she learns that her father, whom she never met after her parents divorced, has left her the world's greatest wine collection.
Camille must now compete for her inheritance with Issei Tomine, a brilliant young oenologist known as Alexandre's spiritual son. The battle between the biological daughter and spiritual son is about to begin. To break the tie, three wine-tasting evaluations are conducted. The winner will inherit Alexendre's empire, while the one who loses will have to walk away empty-handed. But neither does Camille know anything about wine nor she has ever tasted it. The question here is how can Camille possibly win such a battle.
‘Drops of God’ will premiere on April 21 on Apple TV+.
