LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Netflix, A24, and Lee Sung-jin have created 'Beef' a dark comedy-drama series. The highly anticipated series will premiere at the 2023 SXSW Festival on March 18, 2023, and then on the streamer on April 6, 2023. The 10 episodes in the series are of roughly 30 minutes each and promise revenge and road rage with a hint of comedy. Netflix, known for promoting diverse content, added this dramedy series as part of its Asian-American experiences and perspectives in entertainment.

There are many successful Asian-American movies on the OTT platform, like the 'To All Boys' movie series and 'The Half Of It'. 'Beef' becomes a new addition for expanding this category. The dramedy series created by Lee Sung-jin stars Steven Yeun as Danny Cho, a failing contractor, and Ali Wong, a self-made entrepreneur, as the lead. Two polar opposite people's worlds collide in a road rage incident. Hell-bent on revenge, the two engaged in a bitter feud that threatened to ruin their lives for good.

What is the plot of the new Netflix series 'Beef'?

The hotly anticipated series 'Beef' stars Steven Yeun and Ali Wong in the lead. The plot of the dark comedy series follows the aftermath between two strangers. Failing contractor Danny Cho butts heads with picture-perfect entrepreneur Amy Lau following the entanglement. Their road rage feud continues as the two hell-bent on revenge strike each other. Their bitter engagement impacts their own lives and relationships.

'Beef' offers slow-burn chaos

From Ali Wong making another collaboration with Netflix to Sung-Jin creating the series, 'Beef' has everything fans have wished for. The series is based on the mundanity of road rage twisted into full-blown revenge tactics by the two protagonists. 'Beef' is a slow-burn story that turns into complete chaos as Danny and Amy's acts become more dangerous with each strike. The story takes its time to set up each player in the game. Netflix demands patience from the viewers while watching 'Beef' and rewards them with a detailed examination of how human morality, mental health, and daily chaos affect our lives.
