What is Ryan Boyajian's job? 'RHOC' viewers call out Jennifer Pedranti over false employment claims
ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA: In addition to being our favorite TV personalities, Housewives and Househusbands sometimes have occupations outside Bravoleb status. Jennifer Pedranti, the owner of a yoga school, is one such example. But Ryan Boyajian, her love, what about him?
In 'The Real Housewives of Orange County' Season 18, Episode 2, Jennifer talked about her fiancé's work in conversation with Shannon Storms Beador and Katie Ginella, the new 'wife'.
"What does Ryan do? Like, for a living?" Katie questioned the women while they were hanging out at the beach.
"Well, nothing now," Jennifer said.
"He did mortgage for years and years, and then he's done real estate development since then. But nothing, like, there's no office. He just kind of, um ... I feel like he just sits around and, like, plays in the sunshine. He kind of lives the dream life, I always tell him."
Now, one Redditor has come forward with their own little findings, as they write, "I looked 'Ryan Boyajian' up on NMLS Consumer Access and I can't find him. Depending on whether he worked for a depository or non-depository financial institution, he would be licensed or registered through NMLS. I searched his name and even if he went by an alias, I should be able to see information. Jennifer said, "He did mortgage for years and years, and then he's done real estate development." There seems to be something dumb or shady going on and Jennifer seems either clueless or deliberately overlooking things."
Who is 'RHOC's Ryan Boyajian?
Ryan, Jennifer's fiancé, first appeared on 'RHOC' Season 17 in June 2023. The couple began dating in September 2020.
However, Jennifer and Ryan have stated that their relationship did not become physical until they were completely separated from their previous relationships. Ryan proposed to Jennifer on a trip to the Bahamas in April 2024, giving her a cushion-cut diamond ring with a total weight of five carats.
In addition, Ryan is the father of Cole and Tyler.
'RHOC's Ryan Boyajian allegedly caught up in $16M theft and gambling scandal
Ryan, who stars on 'RHOC' with fiancé Jennifer, is apparently involved in the $16 million gambling and embezzlement case regarding Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani's former translator. ESPN stated, citing various sources, that Ryan is the bookmaker's partner to whom interpreter Ippei Mizuhara sent funds to satisfy his gambling obligations.
Ippei has agreed to plead guilty in March to two federal counts stemming from the theft of roughly $17 million from the Dodgers' bank account. Prosecutors claim Ippei used the money to pay off illicit gambling obligations.
The plea agreement may land Ippei in federal jail for more than 30 years, according to the US Attorney's Office.
According to ESPN, Ippei's illicit bookmaker informed the interpreter that he could pay his gambling obligations via wire transfer to "Associate 1." That, according to ESPN, is Ryan.
Ryan's lawyer told ESPN, "Because there is an active investigation and Ryan is working with the authorities, he can’t confirm or deny what is going on. He is not a bookmaker or a sub-bookie."
Through "marker" accounts at casinos, Ryan and the suspected illicit bookmaker in issue, Mathew Bowyer, allegedly laundered Ippei's funds. Ryan and Mathew "then withdrew the chips from the marker accounts, gambled with them and if they won, cashed out" after depositing the money.
Many sources informed the outlet that Ryan was granted immunity in exchange for his testimony.
'RHOC's Jennifer Pedranti defends Ryan Boyajian amid gambling scam allegations
Jennifer revealed why she is stuck with her fiancé through everything.
She said, "Oh, I would stick by him through anything. I know Ryan, and I communicate about everything. So, this was not like some bomb that dropped."
She continued, "It’s unfortunate that my platform brought his name to light in it. But you just got to give it time. Ryan’s not involved in it … You know, the day the article came out, we knew it was coming, actually. So, this was not news for Ryan and I."
Their engagement has also not been impacted by the news.
Jennifer noted, "We do just want people to know Ryan’s not a bookie, never been a bookie. He’s not involved in this … It was like we were on the biggest high and the lowest low. And we had to just come back together and say we know the truth."
