'RHOC': Why Vicki Gunvalson is unhappy with Alexis Bellino's return to Bravo show
ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA: There appears to be no signs of the Vicki Gunvalson-Alexis Bellino dispute stopping anytime soon. Vicki has voiced her displeasure about the latter's return to 'The Real Housewives of Orange County', since the announcement follows her criticism of Alexis for dating co-star Shannon Beador's former boyfriend, John Janssen, on 'RHOC'.
Vicki was quick to react with a "no" when Instagram user @bravohousewives posed a question asking people if they preferred Alexis back on the show.
What happened between 'RHOC' costars Alexis Bellino-Vicki Gunvalson?
Alexis, a cast member from 2009 to 2013, decided to come back after giving it some thought and feeling apprehensive at first. She admitted that she was apprehensive about returning to the program when word leaked that Bravolebrity would be a friend on Season 18 once more.
Speaking to E! News, she admitted, "I contemplated not even going back because I knew what I was throwing myself into. But also, I thought to myself, ‘Why am I not going to do something I want to do just because I’m dating somebody else’s ex-boyfriend?'"
Vicki loudly criticized Alexis and John's courtship, which caused her to feel some criticism. Vicki commented in the comments area of a meme about Shannon, Alexis, and John that was shared by the @realmomsofbravo account, saying, "Ridiculous and thirsty on both of them."
Later on, she shared a link to an exclusive Celebuzz article in which she expressed her dissatisfaction with this "union."
The two first made their relationship public last year, one year after Shannon and John's breakup. The remarks made by "someone I considered a friend" offended and saddened Alexis, and now that she's responded, it's opened up a fresh bag of worms.

Shannon has maintained her position that she is not trying to win back John, even if the internet is adding to the drama. The TV personality stated in an interview with US Weekly that she has no interest in developing a friendship with Alexis for reasons other than John.
The two were in an on-again, off-again relationship from 2019 to 2023.
"There’s the clip of her going, ‘You’re not going to win my man’ or something. It’s like, I’m not in the competition. Enjoy!" she informed the outlet.

"Getting back with the girls has been so fun," Alexis stated of her experience filming Season 18 to OK! Magazine. "When I was on years ago, there were a lot of friendships that ended up strained. I was trying too hard. I was not myself. You'll see a different version of Alexis this time."
"I'm more mature. I'm a woman now, not a girl anymore. I was a girl back then," Alexis continued. "A lot has changed in that 14 years. But I think that you will get to see a strong, independent woman this time."
