Teresa Giudice gloats about having 'really good' meals behind bars and reveals her favorite jail snack
MONTVILLE, NEW JERSEY: Teresa Giudice made headlines as she recounted her experience in prison.
If 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' star is to be believed, her time in jail was "really good."
When asked on the Hollywood Raw podcast with Dax Holt and Adam Glyn "What the food was like behind bars?" Teresa confessed, "I have to say the food was really good."
The TV personality added, "And I actually cooked there also because I cook, I have four cookbooks."
Boasting her achievements, she added, "I'm a three New York Times bestselling, New York bestselling author. So three of my cookbooks."
While in jail, Teresa confessed to cooking dinner for fellow inmates. Recounting her experience, she said to the host, "I'm telling you. The food was so good. And what was my favorite was when I first got there, they had banana nut muffins."
Teresa had a banana nut muffin every morning. "It was so good. And then they ended up running out of them, and I was so mad," claimed Teresa.
Seeing her talk good about her prison time, one commented on Facebook, "She’s delusional lol." Another called her, "Felon POS." One mocked, "So, she fit in - shocking."
Another joked, "Hope they shaved it for her first." Another laughed, "Teresa Guidice cook ?? prison yes."
Explaining the atmosphere of the prison, Teresa compared it with a "camp setting," saying there were around 200 women who committed white-collar crimes.
Explaining details, she added, "I was able to go outside and get fresh air. And I have to say the grounds were so beautiful. The scenery was beautiful."
Why was 'RHONJ' star Teresa Giudice arrested?
Teresa and her then-husband Joe Giudice were found guilty on counts of fraud and were sent to prison. They were accused of "exaggerating" income and hiding assets.
While applying for lean in 2009, ahead of 'RHONJ,' the former couple was accused of hiding their actual income. Moreover, Joe had additional accusations of failing to file tax returns between 2004 and 2008.
Besides this, both were charged with "mail, wire, and bankruptcy" fraud. Teresa went to jail in January 2015 and served for almost 11 months.
Are Teresa Giudice and Joe Guidice still together?
Teresa and Joe Giudice are no longer married to each other. They officially parted ways in December 2019. After 20 years of marriage, Teresa accused Joe of cheating on her.
Moreover, there were financial issues between the couple as well. After Joe's jail time, he was deported to Italy.
As of now, Teresa and Joe are on good terms.
