LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Paramount Network's 'Yellowstone' has found itself in turmoil after a heated drama between lead actor Kevin Costner and the show's co-creator Taylor Sheridan. It is said that the drama revolved around the Emmy winner's schedule. However, the clash led to the show suffering and putting the second part of Season 5 on halt. Speculating the drama, Wes Bentley has come out and given his perspective on the situation and revealed the reason behind the delay. The actor plays Jamie Dutton in the hit series.

The news has been all over the media, as most people were curious about the feud, but some just wanted an update on the unreleased part of 'Yellowstone' Season 5. The fallout between the two has apparently brought the production to a halt and has people wondering if the western-drama show will continue to run once everything settles. Both parties are working towards finding a common solution so that the entire team and fans aren't affected.

'Different people making decisions'

While there is no update about Part Two of Season 5's release, there is an update about the Costner drama. Wes Bentley, who portrays ambitious attorney general Jamie Dutton shared his perspective in an exclusive interview with Entertainment Weekly at the SCAD TVFest. While the entire situation didn't involve Bentley, he revealed that the whole drama was caused by a mere production issue. He stated that everyone involved in the clash is trying to find a common ground and get back to production as soon as viable. Bentley shared, "The news that's come out recently about the show is, you know, it's above my pay grade. Different people making decisions. I know that they're still working on… working things out with everyone, to make sure we shoot. And I'm confident we will. We always have before. I think it's probably a bit of drama over nothing." per Entertainment Weekly.

What is the Costner drama about?

The show has reached new heights with the success of their spin-off '1923' and 'Yellowstone' reaching new streaming records. Meanwhile, the reports of the second part of season 5 not releasing and the production's future caused a few eyebrows to raise. While the drama revolved around a simple reason, it certainly did jeopardize a great show. While the first half of Season 5 aired last year, the second part was supposed to air this year. So what was the drama about? The remaining episodes of 'Yellowstone' are apparently unable to film since Costner is focused on 'Horizon 2', the follow-up to his future passion project, the western epic 'Horizon'. Sheridan is reportedly at a loss for what to do now that Costner is preoccupied elsewhere; this suggests that the actor hasn't complied with the terms of his contractual contract by making himself readily available.
