Freydís and her people discover that the poisoned flour came from Kattegat, but they are unsure who the culprit is.

They quickly learn that Magnus Olafsson (Set Sjöstrand), Olaf's son is the perpetrator when he appears with a fleet.

Freydís understands their incapacity to confront him openly, but she tells her people that they will flee Jomsborg while disguising her strategic objectives for their departure.

Magnus, motivated by a desire to collect his father's remains and put an end to the Pagan period, falls victim to Freydís's deceit when she poses as a poisoned lady and tells him that Olaf's body is in the Valley of the Dead.

Magnus, follows her deceptive instructions to the Valley of the Dead, only to discover that it is a trap created by Freydís's people.

Magnus, outwitted and angry, follows Freydís but falls into another trap on a cliffside, losing his final boat.

In the end, Freydís flees with her people, leaving Magnus stuck in Jomsborg with no way out.

In the most recent season, Freydís exhibited amazing strategic brilliance and ruthlessness in neutralizing Magnus's threat, securing her place as Jomsborg's de facto leader.

With Magnus out of the picture, Freydís will most likely concentrate on finding a new home for the Jomsborg community.

To do so, she may form agreements with other Viking establishments or leaders.

As an ardent supporter of Paganism, Freydís is expected to encounter more pressure from Christian groups.

This might result in open combat or more covert kinds of conflict.

Overall, it is apparent that Freydís will continue to employ her tactical skills to ensure her people's safety while facing hurdles in the search for stability and a new home.
