'Unexpected': Kylen lashes out at her parents over birthing plans, fans say 'listen to them'

One can clearly see the red flags of an abusive and controlling relationship in Kylen's relationship with Jason but will she listen?

On the recent episode of TLC's 'Unexpected', it's appalling to see how Kylen is acting toward her parents. Although both of them advise her in taking a call on her birth plans, she shut them down rather arrogantly, making it seem like she knows she's doing the right thing. However, she is allowing herself to be manipulated by her "'better half". Jason, her 18-year-old boyfriend, has always had the final word in every matter, including her birth plan. Yes, you read that right. 

Kylen initially wanted a hospital birth; not only is that something she's comfortable with, and is also safe, but her parents too can be present for the precious moment. Their differences in opinion cause Kylen to lash out at her parents, which sits poorly with her father since his health is in poor condition at present. On the other hand, Jason feels like he'll be "left out" and insists on changing the entire plan altogether, to make it a home birth so that he "feels included". At this point, Kylen doesn't answer any questions directed at her, without looking at her "baby daddy" for approval.
