ENNIS, ALASKA: Episode 6 of 'True Detective: Night Country' aired on Sunday, February 18.
The 72-minute-long episode not only unraveled the mystery behind the death of Tsalal researchers but also provided a satisfying conclusion for each character involved.
The previous episode of 'True Detective: Night Country' concluded on a nail-biting note as Peter Prior was seen killing his cop father Hank Prior (John Hawkes) to save Liz Danvers.
In the season finale, Peter Prior (Finn Bennett) and Liz Danvers (Jodie Foster) come together to conceal the crime.
Where did Peter Prior dispose of Hank Prior's body?
While Liz Danvers and Evangeline Navarro (Kali Reis) head to the ice caves, Peter takes on the task of cleaning Danvers' house to eliminate any traces of blood. Simultaneously, he transports Hank's body to Rose Aguineau's (Fiona Shaw) house as suggested by Navarro.
Rose takes him to the spot where Navarro scattered her sister Julia's ashes into the sea. Rose cut the body to let the air out of his lungs, preventing it from floating.
Subsequently, Peter discreetly disposes of Hank's body in the frozen sea.
Liz Danvers accuses Hank Prior of Otis Heiss' murder
In the season finale, Danvers is seen covering up Hank Prior's murder. While talking to the investigators, she claims that Hank was trying to make a deal with Otis.
She mentions Hank was seen spying on Otis on the rehabilitation center's CCTV footage. Danvers suggests that Hank might have followed her and Otis after she checked him out of the facility.
She suggests that Hank disappeared after killing Otis, implying that their presumed deal did not unfold as planned. When the investigators ask her further about Hank's whereabouts, she says that not all questions have answers.
Her statement helps Peter Prior walk away without facing consequences for the murder of his father.
