While it might absolutely suck at romcoms, Netflix aces with its original foreign-language content. In the last few years as a streaming giant, the platform has churned out binge-worthy content one after the other when it comes to its German, Portuguese and Spanish shows. Be it the complex intertwined world of 'Dark' or the booming phenomenon that is 'Money Heist' — Netflix sure doesn't disappoint when it comes to its foreign-language shows and movies. Adding to the slate this August will be some iconic final seasons and some brilliant coming-of-age stories. Here's all that's coming to Netflix on the foreign language front this August 2020:

'The Rain' Season 3 (August 6)

The third and final season of the Danish post-apocalyptic series is finally coming to Netflix. Set in the aftermath of a rain-related virus that's wiped out most of the Scandinavian population, the story follows two siblings who emerge from a bunker to join a group of other survivors in what they expect is a societal rule-free world. But they soon realize otherwise when love, jealousy and fight for survival take the limelight. Lucas Lynggaard Tønnesen and Alba August play the main characters of the Andersen siblings — Rasmus and Simone.

'High Seas' / 'Alta Mar' Season 3 (August 7)

The epic Spanish period-drama known for its riveting mystery is wrapping its three-year run on Netflix as well. The story picks up when two sisters discover disturbing family secrets after a string of mysterious deaths occur on a luxury ship traveling from Spain to Brazil in the 1940s. Ivana Baquero, Jon Kortajarena and Alejandra Onieva star in the series.

'Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl' (August 12)

This Hindi war movie will chronicle the life and journey of the titular Saxena who grew up to become the first-ever Indian air force pilot in combat. Janhvi Kapoor plays the character while Pankaj Tripathi and Angad Bedi appear in leading roles.

'An Easy Girl' / 'Une fille facile' (August 13)

This hilarious coming-of-age French comedy focuses on the life of a young girl trying to figure out what she wants to do in life. According to its IMDb synopsis, "A girl's life is turned upside-down when her seductive older cousin joins her for the summer." Mina Farid plays the shy Naïma and Zahia Dehar plays the seductive Sofia.

'3%' Season 4 (August 14)

The final season of the Brazillian dystopian sci-fi series finally arrives after exactly a year-long wait. Once again we will see the just and righteous Michelle's fight and rebellion against the Offshore elites as she and her band of poverty-struck underprivileged people from the Inland fight to reach Paradise. Bianca Comparato plays the leading role.

'The Great Heist' (August 14)

While the story of 'Money Heist' is far from over, its Colombian counterpart arrives shortly after the show's Season 4 release in April 2020. The story is based on the 1994 robbery of $33 million from Colombia's central bank, which turned the country upside down.

'Crímenes de Familia' (August 19)

The Argentinian crime thriller is a film that will follow the story of Alicia (Cecilia Roth), "a desperate mother who will do the impossible to prevent his only son Daniel (Benjamin Amadeo) from being sentenced to prison on charges of attempted murder of his ex-wife."

'Unknown Origins' (August 28)

This new Spanish-Argentinian crime feature film directed by David Galán Galindo arrives right at the very end of August.
