'This is all for show': 'Today' host Savannah Guthrie reveals she's 'dying inside' and 'stressed out' amid major change in life
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘Today’ host Savannah Guthrie reveals on the recent episode that a major change in her life is stressing her out. She left her co-host Hoda Kotb baffled when she arrived at work at the same time as Hoda on the episode of Thursday, May 18, 2023.
The ‘Today’ show's 'Radio Thursday' broadcast interviewed Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb at the desk and posted an enticing video on their official Instagram stories. Kotb, 58, was shocked to see Savannah arrive at work early, at around the same time as her, as this happened for the very first time. In response, Savannah revealed that she is moving and currently living in a hotel with her family. So, she had to sneak out of there before she woke up the kids.

‘I’m shocked’
On Thursday morning, while the Today Show Radio event saw Savannah and Hoda being interviewed, an unexpected conversation occurred. Savannah pointed out that Hoda had extra coffee this morning. Hoda then revealed some insights into her “extra coffee” day, adding, "Something happened for the very first time this morning. Savannah and I rolled in at the exact same time, rolled in hot. I go, what? And Savannah was like, “Hi.”
Left surprised, Hoda asked Savannah, "Why did you roll in hot?" And the early-comer replied, "Because I'm moving and all of us are staying at a hotel overnight, so I had to get out of there before I woke up the kids. So, I showed up kind of on time and Hoda was on the street, staring. I come out and I'm like... blah.. and Hoda's laughing and pointing.”
Hoda explained, “I was shocked”. Savannah continued, “She was like, what are you doing here?” Savannah explained her reason for arriving early at work as it was an effort to get out of the hotel room. She said, "I had to get out, and I was running and wondering what to do with all of my time in the morning, so I came and sat with Hoda.”
Hoda, in reference to Savannah’s statement, said most people are sad about moving out, but Savannah seemed to be in a “great mood”. However, that was not the case. Savannah admitted the truth and said, "This is all for show. I'm dying, I'm dying inside. I was up all night, stressing out. Yeah. It's just show. I'm at whacky level.”
Savannah Guthrie’s new look
Savannah Guthrie’s new change in her outlook has recently been under much speculation. On Wednesday, May 17, 2023, Savannah wears glasses on TV, adding a new accessory to her usual outlook. She wore a black blouse and white skirt while sitting beside co-hosts Hoda and Craig Melvin. She was her usual self, except the glasses stood out; they had thick, black, plastic frames. Savannah often wears contacts on the show, but this was her first time wearing glasses on set.
