LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Star Wars: Skeleton Crew' is apparently taking place in the same time frame as 'The Mandalorian' (which stars Pedro Pascal) and its interconnected spin-offs after the events of 'Return of the Jedi' (1983). 'Skeleton Crew' tells a coming-of-age story. In early 2023, actor Jude Law was set to lead the cast of the Disney+ 'Star Wars' series, 'Skeleton Crew', about a group of children finding their way home after being lost in space.

However, the new Disney+ series still didn't get anyone to helm it until now. Let's be real, after the 95th Academy Awards, every producer would want their film to be helmed by The Daniels, but only a few are lucky enough to get them. Considering the 2022 absurdist comedy-drama film, 'Everything Everywhere All at Once' helmed by The Daniels was awarded the Best Film honor at the Oscars. But that is not all, the film also managed to gross 112 million dollars worldwide, becoming A24's first film to cross the 100 million dollar mark and surpassing 'Hereditary' of 2018 as its highest-grossing film, which should also speak a volume for itself.

The Daniels is steering to a faraway galaxy

After sweeping the recent Academy Awards, 'Everything Everywhere All at Once' directors The Daniels (Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert) are heading to a galaxy far, far away according to One Take News. It seems that The Daniels has directed or will direct at least one episode of 'Star Wars: Skeleton Crew,' the upcoming live-action series. The series began filming over the summer and wrapped in recent months, but as with all things 'Star Wars,' the show has been shrouded in secrecy, with most episodic directors unknown. The complete list of helmers of 'The Mandalorian' season three, for example, was not revealed until a trailer drop two months ahead of the premiere.

'LET’S F**KING GOOO'

After the news surfaced online fans could barely contain their happiness. A fan said, "Peak star wars content in coming folks," while another added, "LET’S F**KING GOOOOOOO." A fan shared, "Hopefully it's more than just one episode they're doing." A fan tweeted, "This is promising! I'm hoping for Andor level quality here. A great story that just happens to be set in the Star Wars franchise," while another adds, "I'm happy about it, but I thought as the series is planned to come out later this year, it was already in production, but other then that." Lastly, a fan commented, "For anyone unaware they’ve directed “Everything, everywhere, all at once” “Swiss army man” and a lot of music videos. Very artsy A24 heavy so this will be an interesting experiment."
