Oscars 2023: Fans hail the Daniels as they win Best Director for 'Everything Everywhere All at Once'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Everything Everywhere All at Once' seems to be on a winning roll today at the 95th Academy Awards as they manage to sweep one after the other category. First, Ke Huy Quan bagged the Best Supporting Role (Actor) award, then Jamie Lee Curtis also swept the female category. 'Everything Everywhere All at Once' leads with the most nominations, 11 total, including for Best Picture. It was the second Oscar of the night for the duo, who earlier won best original screenplay.

The film received universal acclaim when it was released and now it has become the most-awarded film in history.

Daniel Kwan & Daniel Scheinert aka 'The Daniels' won the Best Director Oscars awards for 'Everything Everywhere All at Once,' which topped all films with seven trophies after coming into the ceremony with a leading 11 nominations. Taking to the stage, Scheinert dedicated the award to “all the mommies in the world”, paying tribute to his own parents for not suppressing his creativity, including “dressing in drag as a kid, which is a threat to nobody”. Kwan also praised his parents for their inspiration and sacrifice, as well as his own son. “You rearrange my DNA everyday,” he said. “You should never have to live up to this standard. This is not normal. This is kind of crazy. I will love you no matter what.” He finished by reiterating the duo’s core message. “There is greatness in every single person,” he said. “Thank you so much to everyone who has unlocked my genius.”
