In this series, they are shown as striving against patriarchal beliefs to stand out and advance. The conversations at one point imply that women are weaker and lesser than men and are unable of working in a demanding industry. Fara is willing to do anything since difficult circumstances call for desperate methods. How, therefore, did she succeed in rescuing her brother and the entire family from trouble? Let's look at it.

Why do Fara and her sisters desire to save his brother in 'Thicker Than Water'?

The series elaborates on how the sisters Souhila, Fara, Yasmine, and Lina Bentayeb are willing to do all it takes to defend their family. They make an effort to assist their brother Selim Zahiri, who eluded a roadside inspection close to Porte Maillot. Because of the 20 to 50 kilograms of narcotics in his car, he managed to get away from the cops.

The fact that their brother was providing narcotics, however, was unknown to the sisters. They only wanted him to be shielded from claims of a hit-and-run incident. As a result, they drive the vehicle to Villier-le-Bel, the scene of prior riots, and burn it there without detecting the narcotics.

Oumar Diawara: who is he?

The sisters made a mistake that, rather than resolving the matter, really made it worse. The narcotics Selim was delivering belonged to a powerful drug lord named Oumar Diawara, who despite engaging in illicit activities, presented a favorable picture of himself through his charitable work.

What must be done to save their brother and how did the sister get into this situation?

The gossip, espionage, and manipulation that take place in newsrooms and all news networks and among dark-web drug networks. And the strategy the sisters devise is to repay Oumar $1.5 million and end the violence and ambiguity in their life.

Why Selim and his family had to go through this?

A guy goes to see Selim, who confronts him fiercely over leaving his family decades ago. The challenges his mother and sisters had to go through as a result of his father's absence during the son's youth have left him in a great deal of pain. While the father makes an effort to make amends with his son, harm has already been done, and the boy won't accept his apology.

The endgame

Oumar with his men comes into the room and urges everyone to get on the floor, creating a tense and chaotic scene. The news team is intimidated and pressured to abide by the invaders' demands as the camera continues to film. The crew in the studio tries to contact the authorities as the crisis worsens in order to receive assistance, but they are unsuccessful. The group is being held captive as the attackers demand the return of their stolen cocaine. Fara gets picked up by Oumar from the newsroom and brought to the location where Lina is being held. When will her sisters arrive, Oumar queries. On their arrival sisters immediately pay back everything to Oumar upon their arrival. During the chaos that resulted from Souhila pointing a pistol at Oumar asking where is Lina. Fara is shot but survives, while Oumar is fatally wounded by Fara. Fara was seen explaining this to an officer in the flashback sequences, and she is currently in prison.
