'The Wheel of Time' Episode 6: Moiraine's BIG secret revealed as Liandril betrays her

The episode begins as we see a scene of a war being fought and a pregnant Aiel fighter being fatally injured as she's confronted by a soldier who points a sword at her belly. We then cut to all the friends left worried as Mat stays back, but nothing can be done. Meanwhile, it is revealed that the One Power should not be used in the Ways or it will invoke the wrath of Machin Shin aka The Black Wind. Moiraine warns them that if they do use magic, Machin Shin will speak to them but they absolutely should not pay heed to its words. A trolloc attack forces Nynaeve to channel the One Power which results in Machin Shin hammering doubts and all the things they want to hear least into their minds. They escape to the city of Fal Dara but all are shaken up by the words they heard.

In the city, Moiraine visits an ally Min (Kae Alexander) who can see visions aka parts of the future. These include Perrin with yellow eyes and Rand with a baby along with others, concluding that the four potential candidates are linked. Rand, who like Nynaeve, doesn't trust Moiraine completely, has doubts about going to the Eye of the World. The young man has been disturbed ever since the experience in the Ways and constantly practices archery at night. This leads him to go to Min and confront her about what she sees about him.

She tells him about seeing his father who was once a soldier help an injured Aiel woman give birth and tells her after she died, he raised the child as his own in Rand's hometown. The scene we saw at the start of the episode confirms that Rand is that child. She emphasizes that the child was something impossible and that she sees Rand at the Eye of the World. We are then shown what The Black Wind whispered to him and it is revealed that it pounded into his head that he's the Dragon Reborn and with Min's confirmation he goes to Moiraine.

The episode ends with Moiraine and Rand at the edge of the Eye of the World. The Aes Sedai and the Dragon Reborn are about to begin a journey more perilous than one could imagine, with more thrills to come.

'The Wheel of Time’ returns to Amazon Prime Video with a new episode every Friday.
