'The Wheel of Time' Episode 6: Moiraine's BIG secret revealed as Liandril betrays her
Season One of Amazon’s fantasy series ‘The Wheel of Time’ is slowly inching toward its conclusion and fans cannot wait for the epic battle to begin. The primary focus of the series is on finding the Dragon Reborn, who will save the world from darkness. However, there are not one but five potential candidates for that. Since then, it has been about their journey as they find out some mysterious things about themselves.
On the other hand, an Aes Sedai named Moiraine (Rosamund Pike) has been trying to help them recognize their true purpose. The fifth episode of the series saw Egwene (Madeleine Madden) and Perrin (Marcus Rutherford) getting away from the White Cloaks while Mat (Barney Harris) and Rand’al (Josha Stradowski) reaching close to the White Tower. Mat is seriously ill and he needs medical attention soon or else darkness will take over him. Elsewhere, the false dragon is still with Aes Sedai and he’ll be presented in front of the Mother Aes Sedai named Siuan Sanche (Sophie Okonedo).

Episode 6 starts with Logain Ablar (Alvaro Morte) being presented in front of Siuan. The mother of all Aes Sedai’s sends him to a place where he’ll die from all the madness he has in his mind. Although, Logain wants to be killed so that he could free. As soon as the conversation ends, Liandril (Kate Fleetwood), Moiraine (Pike), and Alanna (Priyanka Bose) talk to Siuan about the false dragon. Siuan wanted the false dragon to have a fair trial before the battle. Liandirl told Siuan that he was one of the most powerful men she ever saw and needed to be controlled.
Siuan tells Liandril when Carenna died she was the one responsible for her safety. So, it will be her who’ll be bearing the punishment. But Liandril gets angry and tells everyone about the girl (Nynaeve). She says that Nynaeve has the most powerful channel that anyone has ever seen in the last 1000 years. Liandril blasts Moiraine for not telling anyone about the girl’s skills until Nynaeve healed them from their injuries. Moiraine responds by saying that she was unaware of her powers.
Liandril tells Siuan that the Blue Ajahs’s primary work is to collect the secret info or any news of the danger coming toward Aes Sedai and tell everyone so that the danger could be averted. However, Trollocs attacked a village in the west and Logain’s army attacked the Aes Sedai, but there was no information given by Moiraine.
Siuan asks Moiraine about her journey and the purpose of her journey, but Moiraine refuses to say anything about it. Siuan gets angry and lets Moiraine know that she is living in her world and she should remember that. Moiraine asks for forgiveness, but Siuan says that she will deliver the punishment tomorrow.
The day arrives and Siuan sends Moiraine into exile and orders her not to return to the White Tower ever again. But there’s a catch. Before the punishment, it is revealed that Siuan and Moiraine are actually lovers. They love each other and Moiraine tells her that she might have found the Dragon Reborn. This is when Moiraine tells her to send her to exile so that she can find the real dragon and end the darkness.
The final moments show Moiraine leaving the White Tower and everything else behind.
