Amazon’s ‘The Wheel of Time’ has all the ingredients of becoming one of the finest fantasy shows of this generation. The show started with a lot of promise and it keeps on getting better with every passing week. In the previous episode, we saw how Nynaeve (Zoe Robins) channels her inner power to save Lan Mandragoran (Daniel Henney) from a dangerous injury.

Logain (Alvaro Morte) used his powers to kill everyone in Aes Sedai camp and hit Lan with a weapon that gave him a deep cut on his neck. When everyone thought that this is the end of Lan’s journey, Nynaeve comes closer and saves him. The entire Aes Sedai clan is now interested in taking her in and making her one of them. However, it seems that Nynaeve is not interested in that and only wants to find Egwene, Mat, Rand’al, and Perrin.

'The Wheel of Time' Episode 4: Logain takes on Aes Sedai in epic battle

During Episode 5 of Amazon’s epic fantasy series, we see Nynaeve accompanying the Aes Sedai to the White Tower. The clan has finally reached the place that they were supposed and now they can give their last respects to the friends they lost during the battle with Logain’s army.

Moiraine (Rosamund Pike) takes Nynaeve to a room and says that she will be safe here. However, all she wants to know is the whereabouts of her people. Moiraine tells her that if they arrive here, she’ll know and tells her not to underestimate the women here. Moraine also tells her that if other women got to know that she’s here then she’ll be labeled as a “novice” and everyone will ask her to join their clan. On the other hand, Nynaeve believes that people should not underestimate her.

Elsewhere, Rand’al and Mat have actually entered the city and have found a place to spend the night. Rand’al goes into a library and meets an Ogier named Loial who tells him about the town. Rand’al and Mat are waiting for others to arrive and tell Loial about the girl he’s waiting for. A few moments later, we see Mat’s health getting worse and suddenly Loial enters the room with Nynaeve beside him. She checks on Mat and tries touching her but Mat outrageously tells her not to touch him. It was like someone else commanded him to say those words. Nynaeve doesn’t touch him and talks to Rand’al outside the room, telling him that she’ll save him.

Will she be able to save him? Mat was possessed by the Dark One himself in Episode 4 and we got to know how powerful the dark entity really is. The entity forced Mat to kill an innocent family, so it won’t be easy for Nynaeve to save him.

Apart from that, Perrin and Egwene have been captured by the Children of the Light. Perrin is almost killed by Eamon Valda while Egwene is forced to channel. After a lot of thinking, Egwene channels and distracts Valda. However, Perrin is also seen having a strange kind of power in his hands as he is able to come out of captivity. Is Perrin the real Dragon Reborn? None of the other, excluding Egwene, has any kind of powers, but Perrin seems to be having some kind of powers within him that no one knows about.

‘The Wheel of Time’ returns to Amazon Prime Video with a new episode every Friday.
