LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In the latest spinoff of 'The Walking Dead,' Michonne (Danai Gurira), the katana-wielding warrior and once a leader of the Alexandria Safe-Zone, is reunited with her long-lost husband, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln).

However, this reunion brings unexpected hurdles as she discovers that Rick has undergone a profound transformation in his perspectives, beliefs, and self-assurance. She perceives him as a man now struggling with fear.

This realization becomes evident when Rick finds Michonne in a precarious situation and urges her to fake her identity to CRM.

In Episode 2 of 'The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live', we see Michonne introducing herself as Dana Bethune who claims to have survived alone in the wilderness for a long period.

She weaves a fabricated story, recounting being in Georgia with her boyfriend and 40 others.

Once the CRM believes her, they offer her refuge in their organization and employ her as a consignee.

Does Michonne's fake name take inspiration from actress' real name?

Reddit users have been discussing Michonne's choice of the fake name Dana Bethune. Some speculate that little effort went into creating this name, as it appears to be derived from Danai Gurira, the actress portraying Michonne.

A fan wrote, "I thought Danai or whoever came up with it was having a hard time thinking of other names so they just dropped the "i" in her name and went with it."

Meanwhile, another fan assumes that the surname was inspired by Mary McLeod Bethune as he explains she was "a black woman educator and civil rights activist. It’s to do with her."

Supporting this theory, someone adds, "Yep, and in another interview she said that if she ever lived in UK or something her name would be Dana. So I think it was a combination of the two names."

Even though Michonne has adopted a false identity, her life remains at risk. Jadis Stokes (Pollyanna McIntosh), a key figure within CRM, knows Michonne's true identity and connection to Rick.

She has threatened Rick that any attempt to flee will result in harm to his loved ones.

As tensions escalate, Rick and Michonne embark on a daring escape from CRM. Will they manage to return home unscathed?

The suspense will reach its peak in the final two episodes of the series, which are scheduled to stream on March 24 and March 31, respectively.
