After a pretty self-contained Episode 13, 'The Walking Dead' returns to the Whisperer War and the aftermath of Alpha's (Samantha Morton) death at the hands of Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). But even though the Whisperer leader may be dead, there's still trouble brewing on the horizon for our heroes.

Preview images released by AMC for Season 10 Episode 14 'Look at the Flowers' reveal that Beta (Ryan Hurst) will be getting quite some screen time in this episode.

Alpha's fearsome second-in-command already caused quite a bit of mayhem when he invaded Alexandria in Episode 10 and now that Alpha is dead, it looks like Beta may be preparing for one last vengeful assault.

The trailer for the episode teases a lot of other interesting plot points as well. Episode 12's ending revealed that Negan was a double agent this whole time, having made a deal with Carol (Melissa McBride) to kill Alpha for her in exchange for securing him a pardon and his freedom.

Now the trailer suggests Carol might not hold up her end of the bargain. We see Negan returning to the shack where he tied up Lydia (Cassady McClincy), Alpha's daughter, and getting attacked by Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus).

Other preview images also reveal that Daryl will be taking Negan prisoner and there's a pretty good chance Negan might still get executed despite all his efforts, though we really hope not.

Meanwhile, the trailer and the synopsis for the episode reveal that Eugene (Josh McDermitt) will be setting out on a new journey to meet Stephanie. In the comics, she was a resident of a large city known as the Commonwealth, where the final arc of the comic storyline took place.

We don't know if this is where the show is headed as well but Eugene's journey is bound to have major consequences all the same.

Here's the synopsis for the episode: "Heroes and villains reckon with the aftermath of the Hilltop fire; Eugene takes a group on a journey to meet Stephanie, with the hopes of befriending another civilization."

'The Walking Dead' Season 10 airs new episodes on Sundays at 9 pm ET on AMC.
