Elvis Presley aka the King of Rock 'n' Roll made an appearance in 'The Voice' Season 21! Well, not the real king but his impersonator Peedy Chavis. This Georgia resident stepped onto the stage crooning 'Heartbreak Hotel'.

His high-energy packed performance packed with Elvis's signature hair move and a few dance moves, immediately caught coaches Blake Shelton and John Legend's attention. Blake wasted no time in turning his chair immediately to see who was performing the Elvis number, and was pleasantly surprised to see a young Peedy on the stage. John too turned his chair and watched Peedy's performance in awe. While John and Blake were cheering heavily for Peedy, Ariana Grande and Kelly Clarkson opted to sit out and didn't turn their chairs.

Blake and John couldn't understand why the ladies didn't turn their chair for Peedy's spectacular performance. Ariana explained that she couldn't hear the real Peedy in his performance, so she didn't turn for his blind audition. But that didn't damped Blake and John's enthusiasm as they began pitching themselves pretty enthusiastically to get Peedy on their team.

Peedy then explained to the coaches that when he was four, his mother put an 'All Stars Tribute' concert of Elvis Presley, and since then he began idolizing the king. He wants to be a huge star like Elvis. Banking on Peedy's dreams, John pointed out that he is an EGOT winner and also a producer so he could make Peedy's dreams come true if he joins Team Legend, while Blake smugly expressed how he was the host of the concert that made Peedy a lifelong fan of Elvis.

Obviously, Peedy didn't need much convincing as he happily joined Blake's team. While Blake is happy to get Peedy on his team, fans resonated with Ariana and Kelly's feelings towards his performance. Many fans took to Twitter to express their disappointment with Peedy's audition. A fan tweeted, "Out of the first three auditions I definitely would have turned for the first one Would have thought about turning for the mom singer And would have left Elvis alone #VoicePremiere #TheVoice #NBC." Another fan wrote, "Of course man Dude singing Elvis has to go with Blake Worst audition so far in my opinion though #VoicePremiere #NBC #TheVoice." "Nothing more meh than a guy singing Elvis songs like Elvis. #TheVoice," expressed a fan. Another fan echoed similar thoughts with, "Except there's no place, or shouldn't be, for an Elvis cover artist in the music industry. They're a dime a dozen in Vegas #TheVoice."

Fans were also unhappy with Peedy's decision to join Blake's team and dubbed it as a huge mistake. A fan commented, " "Elvis" should have chosen #johnlegend. Big mistake. Huge! #TheVoice." Another fan added, "Of course the Elvis impersonator was going to pick the host of the Elvis Presley special #TheVoice." "My surprised face when southern Elvis chose Blake. #thevoice," echoed a fan.
