'The Voice' Knockouts: Blake Shelton slammed for picking Lana Scott over Carson Peters

With his boyish charms and a fiddle in his arms, country boy Carson Peters managed to win the hearts if 'The Voice' fans. So, when it was time for his performance in the knockouts round on the singing competition show, fans were rooting heavily for him to win the round and secure his spot in the lives round. Unfortunately for the 19-year-old, his coach Blake Shelton picked Lana Scott over him.

Carson picked 'Amrillo by Morning' as the song of his choice for the knockouts round and brought along his trusty sidekick the fiddle. The teenager was hoping to impress the coaches John Legend, Ariana Grande, Kelly Clarkson, and Blake, with not just his vocals but also his fiddle-playing skills. Despite giving his best performance, unfortunately, his opponent Lana managed to impress the coaches with her extremely passionate rendition to Taylor Swift's 'Wildest Dreams'. After just getting out of a serious relationship, Lana channeled all her raw feelings into her performance which struck a chord with the coaches.

So when it was time for Blake to decide the winner, he pointed out that both Carson and Lana were extremely talented country music performers. But he was looking to coach and mentor the performer who he believed could go farthest in the competition. After some deliberation, Blake made the difficult decision of picking Lana as the winner, While Blake and the other coaches felt that it was the right decision considering her amazing performance, unfortunately, fans weren't pleased with the coaches' decisions and took to Twitter to call out Blake.
