'The Voice' 2022: Team Gwen's Kevin Hawkins' elimination from Top 13 leaves fans shocked
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Voice' fans were in for a rude shock when Team Gwen's Kevin Hawkins was eliminated from the singing competition show on the recently aired episode of the NBC show. The Texas native's unique vocals made him an instant fan-favorite artist and also earned him a four-chair turn during the blind auditions.
Many fans even pegged him as the winner of the season. So when 'The Voice' host Carson Daly announced that Team Blake's Bryce Leatherwood was the recipient of the instant save vote and not him, fans were shocked. Kevin, Bryce, Team Legend's Sasha Hurtado, and Team Camila's Kate Kalvach, had to compete for the instant save vote after being placed amongst the bottom four. The four artists fought tooth and nail to earn a spot amongst the Top 13, but in the end, Bryce won.

'The Voice' fans were so disappointed with the voting result that many of them took to the show's YouTube channel to declare how Kevin was robbed. A fan commented, "I'm shocked that he's gone. I thought he might win." "This performance was amazing he definitely should’ve been saved," wrote a fan. "His voice and style are so Amazing! So sad to see him go. They did him real wrong," added a fan. "He shouldn't have been in the bottom four. He is blessed with amazing talent," pointed out a fan.
