'The Voice' 2022 Blind Auditions: Hillary Torchiana receives one chair turn, angry fans say 'what were other judges thinking?'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: After being buzzer-happy initially and turning chairs for almost every performer, 'The Voice' Season 22 coaches- Camila Cabello and Gwen Stefani began to get rather picky as their teams almost filled in.
So, when 34-year-old Hillary Torchiana stepped onto the stage for 'The Voice' Season 22's blind auditions and gave a jaw-dropping performance to Adele's 'Go Easy on Me', only Blake Shelton turned for her. Though Hillary managed to earn a spot on the NBC singing competition show, all thanks to Blake's chair-turn, 'The Voice' fans couldn't help but wonder what the other coaches were thinking by not turning for Hillary, whose performance they felt was worthy of four-chair turn.

A fan tweeted, "I can’t believe that wasn’t a four chair?! There’s the winner!!!" "@blakeshelton #TheVoice I can’t believe that no one else pushed their button!!! Congratulations!!" wrote a fan. "@camila_cabello #TheVoice Adele song might be hard! But Hiliary is fantastic! Should of turned!" added a fan. "How did Hillary only get one chair turn ? What were the other judges thinking ? Lol she was amazing #thevoice @blakeshelton you got her handed to you on a silver platter," pointed out a fan. Fans were also left feeling amused when they learned that Blake had no clue that Hillary was singing an Adele song. "Blake DOESN'T KNOW "Easy On Me" is Adele?!? Seriously if Gwen can't get him to listen to other genres, who can..? #TheVoice #VoiceBlinds," added a fan.

Aside from her buttery soft vocals, Hillary also shared her moving backstory with the audience. The 34-year-old revealed how she lost everything including her beloved pet cat and dog when her house caught fire. This incident left her with a deep-rooted trauma that took very long for her to work through. After a few years of suffering in silence, Hillary decided to heal herself and began doing things she enjoyed, including singing. She formed her own band, where she met her fiance. Things slowly began falling into place, which prompted Hillary to audition for 'The Voice' and showcase her talents to the world. We can't wait to follow Hillary's journey on the singing competition show under Blake's mentorship.
