While most people continue to grapple with the dating scene under the current social distancing norms, Wade maintains his track record of being the widower reprising the single life with much gusto in 'The Unicorn'. At the end of Season 1, he came across this gorgeous, beautiful woman at a parking lot and was determined to hunt her down and ask her out.
Season 2 opens with Wade swirling under the same impatience of seeking this woman, but the synopsis for the first two episodes reveal that his wait won't be too long. Natalie Zea
Hopping aboard the series regular express from having a guest role in the season 1 finale, Zea has been a former costar of 'The Unicorn' lead, Walton Goggins. The two have worked in the FX drama series 'Justified' before Zea was signed on to play Shannon, Goggins' Wade's love interest in the CBS comedy. Zea will be reprising her role of Shannon, the mystery woman Wade immediately hit it off with her the parking lot. The first season showed Wade determined to find her again and according to Deadline, when he does "he’s delighted to find that she’s every bit as smart and delightful and compassionate as he knew she’d be, but her life is much more complicated than he’d ever anticipated." Shannon, who stars in the NBC pilot drama 'La Brea', also has 'The Detour', 'The Following', 'The Shield', and 'Dirty Sexy Money' to her credit.
Walton Goggins
A Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, an Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film, and 7 other Critics Choice Television Award nominations make Goggins one of the most prolific actors of his time. With titles like 'Django Unchained' and 'Maze Runner' to his credits, Goggins hops aboard 'The Unicorn' as the leading man, Wade, who's the owner of a landscaping company and a single father trying to find a new balance in his life after his wife's passing. Goggins is also a seasoned photographer, showcasing some of his work in a blog created when he took a sabbatical and traveled across India.
Maya Lynne Robinson
You may know her as DJ Conner's mostly absent 2nd lieutenant wife Genna from the television spin-off of 'Roseanne', titled 'The Conners'. Robinson played Geena for one season before beginning filming for 'The Unicorn', where she plays the role of Michelle, wife of Wade's friend Ben. The character is a stay at home mother of four who is anticipating a college degree in business and finally flourishes in Season 2, making the arc a whole other kind of exciting.
Omar Miller
As Ben, Miller plays the kind, supportive friend who's always down for a good laugh but won't deter from giving you a reality check every now and then. Ben is the local soccer team's coach and runs an audio technology company. Miller is most popularly known for playing Walter Simmons on 'CSI: Miami' and Charles Greene on 'Ballers.'
Michaela Suzanne Watkins
The American actress and comedian plays the role of Delian, a pediatrician friend of Wade's, through her husband, Forrest. .Watkins is best known for starring on the Hulu series 'Casual' and on the short-lived ABC sitcom 'Trophy Wife'. she has also been a cast member of 'Saturday Night Live' from 2008 to 2009 and has numerous other recurring TV roles to her credit.
Rob Corddry
Forrest, Wade's friend and Delia's husband who works as an HR specialist, is played by the seasoned comedian Corddry, known for his work as a correspondent on 'The Daily Show with Jon Stewart' (2002–2006). Corddry has also been in the starring role in 'Hot Tub Time Machine', along with creating and starring in Adult Swim's 'Children's Hospital', for which he has won four Primetime Emmy Awards. Corddry too has been a previous cast member of 'Ballers'.
