Chris Pratt's sci-fi blockbuster 'The Tomorrow War' on Amazon Prime Video was generating all the buzz last year around this time. Now, the 'Guardians of the Galaxy star has another show on the streamer with 'The Terminal List' that promises to be an absolute humdinger. Based on Jack Carr's best-seller of the same name, the series follows James Reece (Pratt) after his entire Navy SEAL unit is ambushed during a covert mission. The soldier returns home with tangled memories of the events. He discovers dark forces working against him, putting not only his life in danger but also the ones he knows and loves.

The 42-year-old is currently basking in the success of 'Jurassic World: Dominion', and is all set to be seen in Chris Hemsworth's next MCU outing, 'Thor: Love and Thunder'. The upcoming thriller will be his second Amazon Prime Video content. With eight episodes all set to drop in the first week of July, here's everything we need to know so far.

'The Terminal List' is all set to drop the eight episodes on July 1 on Amazon Prime Video.

What is the plot of 'The Terminal List'?

The official synopsis reads, "Based on the novel by Jack Carr, The Terminal List follows James Reece (Pratt) after his entire platoon of Navy SEALs is ambushed during a high-stakes covert mission. Reece returns home to his family with conflicting memories of the event and questions about his culpability. However, as new evidence comes to light, Reece discovers dark forces working against him, endangering not only his life but the lives of those he loves."

Pratt plays James Reece, a NAVY seal. The show also marks his return to the small screen for the first time since 'Parks and Recreation'. Joining him are Constance Wu ('Crazy Rich Asians'), Taylor Kitsch ('Battleship'), Jeanne Tripplehorn ('Basic Instinct'), Riley Keough ('Mad Max: Fury Road), Arlo Mertz ('Lucy in the Sky'), Jai Courtney ('A Good Day to Die Hard'), JD Pardo ('Mayans MC'), Patrick Schwarzenegger ('Midnight Sun'), and LaMonica Garrett ('Arrow'). Rounding up the rest of the cast are Stephen Bishop, Sean Gunn, Tyner Rushing, Jared Shaw, Christina Vidal, Nick Chinlund, Matthew Rauch, Warren Kole, and Alexis Louder.

Amazon Prime video dropped a trailer of the high-octane thriller.  The clip spanning just over two minutes sees Pratt's Reece come home from his op, but nothing really feels the same. His team is dead and there's no statement about the events of the mission. He teams up with journalist Katie Buranek (Wu) and the duo set out to discover the truth and also the mastermind behind the operation and the outcome.
