The movie has been in the pipeline since 2019 and at that time it was titled ‘Ghost Draft’. The project was originally slated to start filming in the first half of 2019, but that could not happen and the makers took some time to finalize the cast. The filming began in the second half of 2019 and got a new name with an amazing cast coming together for the sci-fi epic. However, Covid-19 played a big role in shifting the release date for the movie. Two years later, the movie is finally coming out.

However, in January 2021, Amazon Studios acquired the rights of the movie for approximately $200M and announced that the movie will be released on the streaming platform on Friday, July 2.
