LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: HBO's historical black comedy series, 'The Sympathizer' revolves around the Captain (Hoa Xuande), a North Vietnam spy planted in South Vietnamese army.
After the fall of Saigon, he accompanies his General (Toan Le) to USA and continues to secretly spy for the Viet Cong while grappling to adjust to his new life.
The three episodes released so far have set stage for an exciting plot as Captain resorts to deadly measures to keep his secret hidden from the General.
When is 'The Sympathizer' Episode 4 releasing?
In 'The Sympathizer' Episode 3, the Captain directs the General's suspicion toward Major Oahn (Phanxine). Making him a scapegoat, he executed Major's killing while narrowly escaping being caught once again.
As the intrigue rises for his further adventures, fans eagerly await the release of 'The Sympathizer' Episode 4.
The HBO series is following a weekly release pattern ever since it made its debut on April 14, 2024. Accordingly, 'The Sympathizer' Episode 4 will release next Sunday, May 5 at 9 pm ET.

What to expect in 'The Sympathizer' Episode 4?
'The Sympathizer' Episode 3 ended with the Captain dealing with the aftermath of murdering a person.
Though legally, he gets away with the killing of Major Oahn, he is seen struggling on the mental front. While out on a dinner with Claude, Professor Hammer, Niko, and Ned Godwin (all played by Robert Downey Jr.), the Captain sees the ghost of Major.
His face is disguised behind the empty fast-food bag before the Captain rips it off to look at him. Although the Major is dead, the Captain has to now deal with his wandering ghost.
