'The Masked Singer' Season 8 Hall of Fame Night pays tribute to gay icon Leslie Jordan's last appearance
'The Masked Singer' Season 8 Hall of Fame Night is dedicated to the late actor, comedian, writer, and singer Leslie Jordan. On Wednesday, FOX's masked singing show will mark the final appearance of Jordan. He died on October 24, 2022 in a car accident. And, to honor his memory, FOX is dedicating the episode to Jordan.
'The Masked Singer' Season 8 was filmed way before the death of Jordan. It was the last appearance of the actor on the show. And, the sudden death of the gay icon came as a shock to the FOX family. After knowing about the death of Jordan, FOX posted an emotional post about him on social Instagram. The platform captioned the black-and-white photo of Jordan and captioned it with, "We are shocked and devastated by today’s tragic passing of Leslie Jordan. Leslie carried an infectious exuberance, indelible sense of humor, and gifted us with countless memories that will last forever. We extend our most profound sympathies to Leslie’s family, friends, and fans."

'The Masked Singer' Season 8 Hall of Fame Night is dedicated to Leslie Jordan
Before premiering the Hall of Fame Night episode, FOX released a video clip to honor Jordan as a member of the FOX family and cherish his on-screen moments on the show. The clip started with Jordan dressed in his own disguise. The clip further shows some of his memorable moments, the one where he sang, danced, and judged the masked singers. Ken Jeong uploaded the same clip on Twitter, captioning, "There will never be another Leslie. Tomorrow's episode of #TheMaskedSinger is dedicated to him." 'The Masked Singer' official page posted a photo of Jordan a few minutes before the release of the episode, saying, "The following episode of the masked singer is dedicated to a beloved member of the Fox family." The post was captioned, "Forever in our hearts."

In the Hall of Fame Night episode, we will see Jordan's on-screen moments for the last time. The 67-year-old star died in Los Angeles on October 24 morning. According to Style Caster, he suffered a suspected medical emergency while driving to FOX's 'Call Me Kat' film scene. Jordan's BMW crashed into a building in Hollywood. He was involved in some fatal injury, leading to being the reason of his death. The industry was in shock after hearing the news of losing such a beautiful person. Jordan's 'Will and Grace' so-star Sean Hayes tweeted, "My heart is broken. Leslie Jordan was one of the funniest people I ever had the pleasure of working with. Everyone who ever met him loved him. There will never be anyone like him. A unique talent with an enormous, caring heart. You will be missed, my dear friend." Ellen DeGeneres wrote, "I just heard about Leslie Jordan. This is unbelievably tragic. He was such a light. Sending love to his family and friends."
