How did Leslie Jordan die? Fan say he 'made us laugh' as they mourn gay icon's death at 67
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Leslie Jordan died at 67 in Los Angeles on Monday morning, October 24. The actor rose to fame with his roles in 'Hearts Afire' and 'Murphy Brown'. It is believed that the actor suffered a medical injury behind the wheel, crashing his car into the side of a building. Social media users remembered the gay icon and paid their tributes.
The 67-year-old actor's manager told the New York Post, "The world is definitely a much darker place today without the love and light of Leslie Jordan. Not only was he a mega talent and joy to work with, but he provided an emotional sanctuary to the nation at one of it’s most difficult times. What he lacked in height he made up for in generosity and greatness as a son, brother, artist, comedian, partner and human being/ Knowing that he has left the world at the height of both his professional and personal life is the only solace one can have today." The actor was a real-life warrior as he struggled with alcohol addiction. In an interview with Page Six, Jordan said earlier, "I got into AA 22 years ago, and I was made to examine things. I was made to write about my fears, about my beliefs, to find a god of my own understanding. And it’s getting rid of that fear, that burning lake of fear."
