Is Jordin Sparks the Exotic Bird? Here are all clues that point to the shocking 'The Masked Dancer' elimination

With the show entering it's quarterfinal week, the competition has tightened up and everyone is bringing in their A game, including Exotic Bird

The Exotic Bird on 'The Masked Dancer' left everyone floored with her performance in last week's episode. She showed off her vulnerable side and struck a chord with everyone on the judges' panel including guest judge Whitney Cumming who was on her feet as the Exotic Bird's performance reached the halfway mark. This masked dancer made a stunning entry on the show in all her blue and orange feathery glory with a performance on Lewis Capaldi's "Rush". Judges Bryan Austin Green, Paula Abdul, Ken Jeong, and Ashley Tisdale have all showered her with praise during the course of the competition, but is it enough to help her reach the semifinals?

Jordin Sparks has appeared on 'TMD' stage thrice during this competition, twice during the playoffs and last week's Super Six episode. Like every other contestant, each performance of her was preceded by a clue package video that gave away subtle hints about her identity.

Exotic Bird Clues

In the Super Six episode, a major clue included a shot of Bernie "Mitten" Sanders from Joe Biden's inauguration. In a clue package from her debut on the show, she had admitted to being a highly competitive being and that she had to face a lot of flak for losing. It was also revealed that she has a perfume line and that she enjoys cooking.

During her second appearance on the show, she revealed that right before she could go out and seize the biggest opportunity of her life, she contracted terrible bird flu. She had a lot of trouble breathing and the only person that helped her was her Mama Bird.

Which celebrity is under the Exotic Bird mask? 

The best guess about the Exotic Bird's identity is 'American Idol' winner Jordin Sparks. The shot of Bernie Sanders' in the package could point out to the time when Sparks performed the song "Faith" at the Commander-in-Chief Joe Biden's Inaugural Ball hosted by Barack Obama who was just minted as the President. Sparks had just won 'Idol', at age 17 in 2007, not more than two years before her high-profile appearance at the government event. In the initial clue package video, some of the visual clues included a number of people wearing shirts with the number “17” and a carton of eggs that had the words “best by ’07”. 

Right after winning 'Idol' she had lost her voice (explaining the bird flu clue) and later on during her career, she had recorded a song called 'No Air' that earned her a 2009 Grammy nomination for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals, according to a Golden Derby article. While all the clues are currently pointing to Jordin Sparks, audiences will still have to wait for her elimination followed by her unmasking to know for sure that it's indeed her. 

The Sloth, Tulip, Zebra, Cotton Candy are also competing for the Diamond Mask trophy along with Exotic Bird. This is the debut season of the show and the benchmark has been set very high with almost all of the remaining performers being exceptional with their dancing abilities (zebra not so much but he's such a charmer and quite a hit). If a comparison has to be drawn, the Exotic Bird is someone who can be considered a tad bit weak than the rest of the performers. It also holds true when it comes to popularity amongst the audiences watching the show, the others do seem to have an upper hand. 

At the end of the episode, it was revealed that Exotic Bird has received the least amount of votes from the panel as well as the super fans of the show watching from home. An unmasking followed and it was revealed that the Exotic Bird indeed was Jordin Sparks. Her exit sparked disappointment amongst her fans who took to Twitter to sound off."Man @JordinSparks
 congrats on being on #TheMaskedDancer.  I didn't want u to leave," read a tweet. "Jordan Sparks is a great singer. Sad to see her go #TheMaskedDancer" wrote another fan. "I love you, @JordinSparks. You’re an absolute queen and you SLAYED it.  #TheMaskedDancer" read another tweet. "i literally love @JordinSparks im so sad she had to go home you did AMAZING sweetie!! #TheMaskedDancer" wrote another fan.
