'The Mandalorian' Season 3 Episode 1 Review: This is the way to Din Djarin's redemption
Lizzo is the Duchess, Jack Black is the Captain
The recent episode of 'The Mandalorian' starred Lizzo and Jack Black in cameo roles. The latest episode followed Din Djarin, Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff) and Grogu as the trio chasing a rogue battle droid. This chase eventually leads the group to land on the planet Plazir-15. In this independent planet, the trio tries to reconnect with some mercenaries. They are seen meeting up with the rulers of the planet — namely, The Duchess, played by the singer Lizzo, and her partner, Captain Bombardier, played by actor Jack Black. But they are not the only cameos we got in the episode. Christopher Lloyd, best known for his role as Doc in the 'Back to the Future franchise was introduced as Commissioner Helgait, who believes in overthrowing the Republic.
The new kingdom
Captain Bombardier is shown as an imperial, who fell in love with the Duchess when he joined the New Republic. But, while the loving couple are having the time of their lives with their opulent lifestyle, they seem to be avoiding the actual problems of their people. However, this new kingdom laid out several paths that would eventually connect with the storylines from the main trilogy. The latest episodes had several such highlights and the most notable one can be pinpointed to Grogu using his powers to help the Duchess win a game. This would probably mean there is a bond established between the trio and the planet Plazir-15, which leaves a strong possibility of the planet and the people appearing in future episodes, working with the main trio. We have to wait and see it happen.
