'The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power' Premiere: Morfydd Clark's Galadriel gets a mighty thumbs up from fans
Lady Galadriel has been one of the most integral parts of JRR Tolkien’s ‘Middle Earth’ saga. Whether it was ‘The Hobbit’ trilogy or ‘The Lord of the Rings’ trilogy, Galadriel always showed why she is known as the mightiest elf to live on the planet. However, Amazon’s ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ sees the character in a much different way and takes us through the journey of how a warrior elf became so powerful.
‘The Hobbit’ and ‘The Lord of the Rings’ talk about the Third Age of Middle Earth whereas ‘The Rings of Power’ is primarily based on the Second Age. So, it doesn’t come as a shock that Galadriel hasn’t become “Lady Galadriel”. She is one of the greatest warriors in Elven and has worked hard in restoring peace in the region. However, she is on a journey to find the evil Sauron and kill him before he destroys everything. Over the course of the first two episodes, we see Galadriel, played by the supremely talented Morfydd Clark, facing a lot of challenges in her journey and even her king wants her to stop the search.

This Galadriel is fiery because she wants to avenge her brother’s death and it’s the journey that would make her realize that she needs to take a step back and assess the situation. Even though we know how powerful and knowledgeable she becomes during ‘LOTR’, it’s great to see how Galadriel was also as brutal as someone in middle earth. But, she always stood for the right things. Fans were in awe of Clark’s performance as Galadriel and hailed the character as the best aspect of the show so far.
One of the fans wrote, “Galadriel as a warrior in Rings of Power is awesome! This series is more of a movie than a TV show.” Another fan wrote, “Okay, I'm all in on #TheRingsOfPower. Morfydd Clark kills it as Galadriel.” Another social media user tweeted, “Actually feeling extremely gay for Galadriel. #TheRingsOfPower Morfydd Clark is stunning.” Another fan said, “Morfydd Clark as Galadriel will go down as an all-time great casting decision. Look no further than her post-ceremony conversation with Elrond.”
“Morfydd Clark is spectacular as Galadriel on ‘The Rings of Power’,” said another fan. “And Morfydd Clark is downright fantastic as Galadriel,” another fan tweeted. “Morfydd Clark: You are intense, committed, and delightful at Galadriel. I'm enthralled,” another fan wrote.

The premiere also showed Galadriel being sent to Valinor for her extraordinary work in restoring peace. However, she knew that her mission is not over still and jumps off the ship that was going to enter the undying lands. As a result, she has once again resumed her pursuit to find Sauron. It will be interesting to see if the elven warrior returns to her kingdom or chooses another path.
Things are getting intense in Middle Earth and a stranger from outer space has reached the region. Is this stranger evil? or he’ll help in defending middle earth? Let’s wait and watch.
'The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power' will return to Amazon Prime Video with a new episode every Friday at 12 am EST.
