For those of you still craving that mean ole' 'Greenleaf' sass in the last two weeks, happiness comes in the form of Tyler Perry's 'The Haves and the Have Nots'. Far, far away from the megachurch concept, the crime drama slash soap opera "continues to heat up as Hanna, the moral conscience of Perry's drama, is tested like never before," in the soon-to-be-arriving Season 7.

The official synopsis also adds: "Hanna and Benny are almost stripped of everything once Candace finds herself in a world of trouble…again. Jim and Katheryn Cryer are at war with almost everyone who has crossed their path. Their enemies will learn, however, that the Cryers are formidable foes who will stop at nothing to win every battle. The wealthy and powerful seem intent on avoiding the old adage that 'what goes around will come back around'. Thus, Savannah will never be the same as 'the haves' continue to use money to rule the world, while 'the have-nots' are forced to look to a higher power."

But before we deep dive into the world of 'The Haves and the Have Nots', here's a little memory brush up for all the faces returning.

Tika Sumpter

The American actress, singer, producer, television host, and model has enjoyed quite a prolific career in the entertainment industry. From starting off as the host of 'Best Friend's Date' (2004–2005) to landing the role of Layla Williamson in the ABC daytime soap opera, 'One Life to Live' in 2005, Sumpter was most recently in Sonic the Hedgehog's star cast. The 40-year-old actress plays the role of Candace Young in the OWN drama and her manipulative, saucy, roguish avatar is one to watch out for.

Angela Robinson

It's not easy to play the malicious ice queen season after season but Robinson has played the scheming, vicious Veronica Harrington with effortless ease for seven years now. The role has bagged Robinson 2015's Gracie Award for Outstanding Female Actor- One to Watch. Her other credits include 2001's 'Another Bed' and a guest appearance on 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit's 2005 episode 'Contagious'.

Tyler Lepley

You might have spotted him in 2020's brand new Starz drama 'P-Valley', as the glitzy Diamond, but Lepley has been a series regular on the OWN drama since the beginning. He plays the role of Benjamin Young, half-brother to Candace and one of the only wholesome, hardworking, honest characters on the soap opera.

Crystal R Fox

As noted above, Hanna is official the moral compass of the show and Fox plays her more than just brilliantly. The soulful, religious, and nurturing character, much like her son Benjamin is a rare diamond in a sea of deceit and malintent. Fox herself recently shined under the spotlight by playing the leading role in the 2020 thriller 'A Fall from Grace'.

John Schneider

The seasoned actor plays the role of James/Jim Cryer, the family's thoughtless, ambitious patriarch who sees nothing beyond his goals and desires. Schneider's other notable credits include the role of Beauregard "Bo" Duke in the American television action/comedy series 'The Dukes of Hazzard', and as Jonathan Kent in the decade-long TV series 'Smallville'.

Tyler Perry's 'The Haves and the Have Nots' Season 7 premieres on August 25, at 8 pm only on OWN.
