2021 has been an extraordinary year for the adult animation series. There has been a massive influx of shows that are not suitable for little kids to watch and caters to an audience who love to watch a unique animated show with a lot of action, gore, and adult jokes.

Shows like ‘Invincible’, ‘Solar Opposites’ and ‘Love, Death, and Robots’ have been highly successful in recent times and are not your traditional kind of animation shows that feature only cute little things. Another show that was really successful because of its source material was ‘The Great North’.

The series revolves around the Tobin family and its patriarch Beef Tobin (Nick Offerman), who lives in the fictional town of Lone Moose, Alaska with his four children Wolf (Will Forte), Ham (Paul Rust), Judy (Jenny Slate), and Moon (Aparna Nancherla). Beef’s life is all about raising his children and keeping the family together. Season 1 received positive reviews from the critics as well as audiences and FOX would be hoping for a better reaction this time around.

Release date and how to watch

Season 2 of ‘The Great North’ will be premiering exclusively on FOX on Sunday, September 26, at 8:30 pm EST. Viewers can stream full episodes via the FOX Now app. You will find FOX NOW on Samsung Smart TVs, Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Google Chromecast and Android TV, and Xbox platforms.

Plot

“The show follows the Alaskan adventures of the Tobin family, as a single dad, BEEF (Nick Offerman), does his best to keep his weird bunch of kids close - especially his only daughter, JUDY (Jenny Slate), whose artistic dreams lead her away from the family fishing boat and into the glamorous world of the local mall. Rounding out the family are Judy's older brother, WOLF, (Will Forte), and his fiancé, HONEYBEE (Dulcé Sloan), her middle brother, HAM (Paul Rust), and ten-year-old-going-on-fifty little brother, MOON (Aparna Nancherla).”

Spoilers

Wolf and Honeybee (Dulce Sloan) are getting married and the Tobin family is busy in preparations. It is a Titanic-themed wedding and everyone is really excited. However, due to an error in the invite list, their estranged mother Kathleen has RSVP’d as “maybe”. They are all worried that she will disrupt the wedding, so the Tobin siblings make a plan to prevent her from coming to the wedding.

Alyson suggests a “shadow wedding” to distract Kathleen while the real wedding happens, but the plan is compromised when Beef learns of his ex-wife's RSVP. The Honeybee family gets to know about everything and says that it doesn’t matter because Wolf and Honeybee are in love with each other. The fake-wedding plan is abandoned, and the family proceeds with the real wedding.

The wedding is a success and the reception continues without a hitch, as the family learns that Kathleen apparently traveled to Tulsa instead.
