‘The Great North’ Full Cast List: Meet Nick Offerman, Jenny Slate, Will Forte, and the rest of the actors in Fox adult animated sitcom
Nick Offerman, Jenny Slate and Will Forte have come together for an adult animation sitcom for Fox titled ‘The Great North’. The animated TV show comes from the writers who previously won applauded for creating ‘Bob’s Burgers’ and will follow the life of a single father and his family as they try to make themselves comfortable in Alaska.
‘The Great North’ is co-created by Lizzie and Wendy, collectively known as Molyneux Sisters, who previously wrote the animated sitcom ‘Bob’s Burgers’. The show features Beef Tobin, a divorced fisherman who moves to Alaska with his four children. The show chronicles Beef’s journey as he comes on terms with his wife leaving him and his family and how his children create chaos for him.

Nick Offerman
In ‘The Great North’, Offerman, 50, lends his voice to the character Beef. The acclaimed actor got international recognition after starring in the sitcom ‘Parks and Recreation’, where he played the role of Ron Swanson, the parks and recreation director, who believes in as small a government as possible.
For his role in ‘Parks and Recreation’, Offerman was awarded the Television Critics Association Award for Individual Achievement in Comedy. He is also famous for playing the role of Karl Weathers in the second season of the FX black comedy crime drama ‘Fargo’, for which he received a Critics’ Choice Television Award nomination.
Offerman also co-hosted NBC’s competition series ‘Making It’.
Jenny Slate
In ‘The Great North’, Slate, 38, provides the voice for Tobin — Beef’s daughter. Slate started her career alongside Gabe Liedman in ‘Gabe & Jenny’. In early 2009, she made several appearances on the ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’, where she was promoted to Fallon’s assistant. In 2014, she starred in the comedy-drama film ‘Obvious Child’, which follows the life of a young stand-up comic as she goes through an unplanned pregnancy and eventual abortion.
As a voice-over artist, Slate has worked in several big-budget projects like ‘The Lego Batman Movie’, ‘Despicable Me 3’, and ‘The Secret Life of Pets’.
Will Forte
In ‘The Great North’, Forte, 50, provides Wolf Tobin’s voice — Beef’s oldest son. Forte is most famous for being a regular cast member on ‘Saturday Night Live’ till 2010, and starring in the sitcom ‘The Last Man on Earth’, for which he received three Emmy nominations.
Forte’s first successful venture in comedy was ‘101 Things to Definitely Not Do You If You Want to Get a Chick’, a comic book that featured the details of an incompetent man. Shortly after that, he worked for nine months with David Letterman on his talk show.
Forte has several significant projects to his credit, like ‘Grown Ups 2’, ‘That’s My Boy’, ‘Life of Crime’, ‘The Laundromat’, ‘Good Boys’, and ‘Scoob!’
Dulce Sloan
In ‘The Great North’, Sloan, 37, provides the voice of Honeybee Shaw — Wolf’s fiancee. She got recognition post working as a correspondent for ‘The Daily Show with Trevor Noah’ on Comedy Central.
Sloan has also performed alongside Conan O’Brien in his talk show. The Florida-born stand-up comedian has also appeared on truTV’s ‘Comedy Knockout’, ‘@midnight with Chris Hardwick’, and ‘The Steve Harvey Show’.
Paul Rust
In ‘The Great North’, Rush, 39, provides the voice of Ham Tobin — Beef’s middle-aged son who is openly gay. Rust has appeared in projects like ‘Inglourious Basterds’, ‘Semi-Pro’, and ‘Paper Heart’, but received international acclaim after playing the mail lead in the comedy film ‘I Love You, Beth Cooper’ alongside Hayden Panettiere.
Rust has starred in the acclaimed Netflix series ‘Love’ with Gillian Jacobs. The romantic comedy-drama series was nominated for Best Musical or Comedy Series at the 21st Satellite Awards.
Aparna Nancherla
In ‘The Great North’, Nancherla, 38, provides the voice of Moon Tobin — Beef’s youngest son, who wears a bear-like outfit. She has appeared on ’Inside Amy Schumer’ and has previously written for ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers’.
Born in Washington, D.C., Nancherla has also appeared on Comedy Central’s ‘The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail’. She also appeared on Netflix’s series ‘Space Force’.
Megan Mullally
In ‘The Great North’, Mullally, 62, provides the voice of Judy’s boss. Mullally is famous for playing Karen Walker’s role in NBC’s sitcom ‘Will & Grace’. She has even hosted the talk show, ‘The Megan Mullally Show’.
Since 2007, Mullally has appeared in guest spots and had recurring roles on several series like ‘Parks and Recreation’, ‘Happy Endings’, ‘Bob’s Burgers’, ‘Boston Legal’ and ‘The Kings of Summer’.
Alanis Morissette
In ‘The Great North’, Morissette plays the role of Judy’s imaginary friend in the Aurora Borealis. Morissette, 46, is a Canadian singer who released ‘Jagged Little Pill’ in 1995, which was later made into a rock musical of the same name.
Supporting Cast
The supporting cast of ‘The Great North’ includes Judith Shelton as Londra Pennypacker and Julio Torres as Crispin Cienfuegos.
