'The Good Place' Season 4 Episode 4: Is the fake Michael headed to the fake Good Place to ruin the experiment or is he already there?
The people of the fake Good Place have no idea what is coming to them, but there sure is a dark looming figure headed their way, and our best guess is that it is the fake Michael (Ted Danson).
Season four of 'The Good Place', which also marks its last one, is solely focused on a human experiment that would determine if the point system that is used to separate the people that go to the Good Place and the Bad Place is efficient or not.
Earlier in the season, we saw Shawn (Marc Evan Jackson) tell Michael that he is making him a suit at the Bad Place and that he is going to use it to tank the Good Place's experiment.
He also made it a point to make it clear to Michael that if he is to reveal this to anyone else, he would erase their memory anyway, leading Michael to keep this a secret.
We, however, feel like it would have been smarter of Michael to actually tell this to the team because at least Janet (D'Arcy Carden) could have come up with a plan to work around this.
Now, it may be too late because in season four episode three titled 'Chillaxing', we see a hooded figure on a handcar making their way to the fake Good Place, leading us to believe that the Bad Place has made their fake Michael.
It is clear they have sent him over to ruin the experiment and doom all of humanity to an afterlife filled with torture at the Bad Place.
We are not sure how they are going to manage that though, especially since Janet may be able to figure out that he is not the real deal. Then again, merely sowing the seed of mistrust within the team may be enough for the whole experiment to come crumbling down.
Then again, when the demons from the Bad Place had come to take the fake human from the Good Place after he was exposed in episode one, it seemed like a switcheroo already happened.
Is this the real Michael coming back to warn the team that the Michael currently living with them is fake? We are excited to find out when season four episode four of 'The Good Place' airs on Thursday, October 18, on NBC.
