HBO ‘The Flight Attendant’ Season 2: 5 things you never knew about Kaley Cuoco
The first season of 'The Flight Attendant' was not only a hit among viewers, but it also racked up a ton of Golden Globe and Emmy nominations. Based on the eponymous book by Chris Bohjalian, Steve Yockey’s dark comedy stars Kaley Cuoco as Cassie, a flight attendant whose life turns upside down after she wakes up with a dead man in her bed, and no recollection of how it happened. After a tumultuous and dramatic first season, HBO Max had announced the renewal of 'The Flight Attendant' for a second season days after the finale dropped in December 2020.
Season 2 of the show will be a "new adventure for Cassie" as revealed by HBO. Showrunner Steve Yockey said he pictured the new season being like "a new Hitchcock movie for Cassie to stumble into". Kaley Cuoco
Kaley Cuoco was nominated for Emmy for her role as Cassie Bowden in 'The Flight Attendant'. She famously starred as Penny on the CBS sitcom 'The Big Bang Theory' (2007-2019). Her film work includes 'Virtuosity' (1995), 'Crimes of Fashion' (2004), 'The Hollow' (2004), 'Lucky 13' (2005), 'To Be Fat like Me' (2007), 'Authors Anonymous' (2014), and 'The Wedding Ringer' (2015). She received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2014. In October 2017, Cuoco founded her own television production company called Yes, Norman Productions.
Zosia Mamet
Zosia Mamet is an American actress and musician, who has appeared in television series including 'Mad Men' (2010-2012), 'Parenthood' (2010-2011), and the HBO original series 'Girls' (2012-2017). Mamet has also done voice-over work in 'Star vs.The Forces of Evil', 'Regular Show', and 'The Simpsons'.
Deniz Akdeniz
Deniz Akdeniz is an Australian actor, who was nominated for Best Actor in the Inside Film Awards 2020, for his role as Homer in the Australian box office hit 'Tomorrow, When the War Began' (2010). Akdeniz is also known for his role as Raff in the Disney television production 'As the Bell Rings' (2007-2009), Aladdin on season six of the ABC television series 'Once Upon a Time' (2016-17), and Robb Wellens in the third season of 'Siren' (2020).
Sharon Stone
There’s one other big addition to the cast of 'The Flight Attendant' Season 2 - Sharon Stone. The Oscar-nominated actress ('Casino') has joined the cast of 'The Flight Attendant' as Cassie’s estranged mom, Lisa Bowden. Known for primarily playing 'Femme Fatales' and 'Women of Mystery' on film and television, she is the recipient of various accolades, including a Primetime Emmy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a nomination for an Academy Award. Stone's notable films include 'Silver' (1993), 'The Specialist' (1994), 'The Quick' and 'The Dead' (1995) .
'The Flight Attendant' Season 2 will land on HBO Max on Thursday, April 21, in the US.
