'The Flash' Season 6: Barry and Iris get a little help from Amazon's Alexa in 'Love is a Battlefield'

Call it subtle brand integration when 'The Flash' opens with a relaxing and funny moment between Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Iris West-Allen (Candice Patton). And there is a third character in the room who also serves as their assistant. Amazon's Alexa gets a seamless brand integration with the couple using the digital Intelligent personal assistant to make date reservations ahead of Valentine's Day.
Alexa has been doing the rounds recently. Amazon released a 90-second commercial focusing on Alexa with Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi during the Super Bowl LIV. The theme was a question: "What did people do before Alexa?" The commercial stars DeGeneres and Rossi who ask 'the question' and then start a flashback of historic events that date all the way back to the medieval era and Nixon's day as President (The tape destroying reference is a riot though).
There is also a minor reference to a very expensive juicer, the brand of which is still unknown. But with this, the simple point is that these seamless brand integrations still manage to get some recognition despite the major storyline that 'The Flash' has.
At the moment, all eyes are on Iris, who at the end of 'Marathon', was grabbed into a mirror by a pair of glass hands. 'Love Is a Battlefield' — a title borrowed from the 1983 album, 'Live from Earth', by Pat Benatar — will most definitely shed more light on Tom Cavanagh's Harrison Nash Wells and Kayla Compton's Allegra Garcia.
'The Flash' Season 6 airs Tuesdays 8 pm PT on The CW.
