In his recent interview with 'E News', Gustin opened up about his time playing Barry Allen and being ready to begin his next chapter after a 9 season phenomenol run. The actor shared, "I'm ready for it to be over", adding that the decision was not due to any negative reasons. He elaborated that it was like finishing high school and goint to the next level, joining college or not. But he is ready to happily close this chapter and to move on to the next one.

"And that's not for any negative reason. It's like when you're getting ready to finish high school and—granted I don't know what college I'm going to after this, I might not get into college—but you're excited to wrap up and move on to the next phase of your life."

Gustin, who recently became a father, added that he is emotionally ready for the next chapter of his life and move on together with his family. While speaking about the upcoming finale, Gustin said he had no idea what to expect from the last season, but he accepted whatever script he received and moved forward with it.
