LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Flash' will embark on its final run when the series returns for its ninth and final season in February and now, The CW has released a new poster for that upcoming season and it's a fitting tribute to the last outing for the Scarlet Speedster. On Tuesday, the network shared the new poster that features 'The Flash's iconic, comic-accurate gold boots crackling with electricity as they sit empty on what is presumably on the streets of Central City.

However, 'The Flash' intends to end with a bang (or a lightning bolt), so it’s bringing back some familiar characters to join Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) on his victory lap. As per recent reports, David Ramsey (an 'Arrow' staple and frequent 'Flash' guest), Keiynan Lonsdale, and Sendhil Ramamurthy join the cast ahead of its ninth season premiere on February 8, 2023. Safe to assume, the series will be over in a flash.

The official page of 'The Flash' posted the official poster of the upcoming final season of the series on Twitter and captioned it, "Balance will need to be restored. The final season of #TheFlash begins Wednesday, February 8 on The CW! #TheFinalRun"

After the poster was released, fans lost their calm as some don't want the series' final season "to suck" and others are just sad that their favorite TV series is ending. A fan said, "Can't wait. So excited to see what Barry and the rest of team flash are up to." A fan wrote, "I’m finally getting emotional that this show is ending," while another added, "I’m so sad… it seem like the end of a great journey… thank you." A fan shared, "Let's go, I'm excited for the final season. I just hope it's a good ending for the show. A lot of people (including me) thinks that it might end with S1 Barry getting his powers." Lastly, a fan commented, "Please don't suck."

Furthermore, since the pilot premiere, the show has been well-received by critics and audiences and won the People's Choice Award for "Favorite New TV Drama" in 2014. However, the DCEU film of the same name will race into theaters on June 16, 2023.

'The Flash' Season 9, with series star Grant Gustin, premieres on February 8, 2023, at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
