‘The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’ is slowly inching toward its mid-season finale and there are only two episodes remaining till we see what fate has in store for all the main characters. The previous episode was by far the most intense episode of the series and featured a lot of thrilling sequences. The episode ends with John Walker aka Captain America (Wyatt Russell), allegedly taking the ‘Super Soldier Serum’ and fighting the Flag-Smashers.

The ending left everyone shocked and we now know that the US Agent has finally come up with the terms that he needs to do something gruesome to get everyone’s attention. At the end of Episode 4, we see Walker brutally killing one of the Flag-Smashers with Captain America’s shield. The entire street saw what happened in front of their eyes and even Sam (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky (Sebastian Stan) could not believe what just happened.

The ending of the episode perfectly sets up what could happen in the remaining episodes. However, to spice things up, Marvel has shared a teaser of what could be expected from the mid-season finale.

Spoilers for Episode 5 and Episode 6 of ‘The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’

The clip opens with the footage from the first four episodes, including Sam handing over Captain America’s shield to the government and Bucky questioning him about his decision to not take up the mantle. The 1-minute and 25-second clip also features John Walker stepping out of the iconic costume and declaring himself as the new Captain America.

On the other hand, we will see Bucky getting into a fight with the Flag-Smashers.

However, it is the ending that makes everyone excited. The clip ends with Walker sitting and waiting inside a warehouse as Sam and Bucky come to meet him. They confront him about what he did the other day and wait for him to answer.

The trailer comes to an end with Walker having a face-off against the duo. Walker says, “We don’t have to do this.” To which Bucky replies, “Yeah, we do.”

So, no points in guessing that the trio will have an epic fight scene in the upcoming episodes. However, it will be interesting to see how Bucky and Sam tackle Walker in the epic showdown because Walker’s identity has changed now. He is one of the super-soldiers now and has an enormous amount of strength in his body.

Additionally, we might see Sam telling Walker that he was absolutely wrong in taking the serum. To an extent, he was. But, the way he was being beaten up by almost everyone on the show, he had to take such extreme measures to become a better superhero.

The show seems to be taking some inspiration from the comics in which Walker is hated by most of the population because of his aggressive nature and eventually takes the decision to give up the shield. ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ also appears to be illustrating how power can really consume anybody.

The mid-season finale is surely going to an epic showdown between three of the most amazing characters on the series.

‘The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’ returns to Disney+ with a new episode every Friday.
