'The Curse Of Oak Island' Season 8 Episode 9 Spoilers: Does the serpent mound date back to the Templars?
It's time for another exciting episode of 'The Curse Of Oak Island'. So gear up for more digging, more Templar references and more hunting for treasure. If you remember correctly, earlier, the Fellowship discovered a 'mound', and they weren't quite sure about its origins. Was it artificial or man-made? What did it all mean?
In the upcoming episode of the history channel show, the Laginas and their hunting squad are going to dig further into this. Going by the synopsis, they will make theories around the Knight's Templar...again. The synopsis reads, "Excavation uncovers more evidence that the stone structure in the swamp could be a roadway, and analysis of the serpent mound has it dating back to the Templars, suggesting it may be one of the most important features discovered in North America."
For a while, the team have been trying to understand the link between the sea and the swamp and the mysterious roadway. Could the roadway have been used by seafarers to unload treasure? Or, was it intended for something else? Alex Lagina did try diving into the murky depths but due to poor visibility, he could not find anything. Meanwhile, they even trying working on Erin Helton's understanding of Zena Halpern's ancient map. Erin emerged with a curious understanding of her map, which pointed to the existence of several 'boulders', as well as the fact that they've been digging in the wrong Money Pit area for a while now. She provided them the coordinates and said that using these, they should be able to find a tunnel. However, they were not able to do so and regretfully asked her to make a re-assessment of the situation again.
It has been a thrilling season for the Oak Islanders so far, as the team discovered an ancient Chinese coin, that could have just dated back to 900 AD, along with an oxen foot. The team believes that the oxen were used to unload treasure into the Money Pit and are also desperately looking for the ox-foot trail, that could help them with more clues.
