He's been one of the longest-running characters on the show, so it's quite a pity that Jackie Harris is yet to find a decent romance for herself! From her ex-supervisor turned beau Booker, to her ex-husband Fred or even the boyfriend that followed – Peter, who practically just mooched off of her – it's about time the show stops doing Jackie so dirty and gives her a man she can actually see a future with. Will Neville be the one hitting the target at that? Here's what we know about him.

The most recent Episode 4 of Season 3 titled 'Birthdays, Babies and Emotional Support Chickens' sees Jackie's niece Becky and her partner Emilio celebrate the first birthday of their daughter, Beverly Rose. The synopsis teases, "It's Beverly Rose's first birthday, but it's not all cake and candles when Becky and Emilio disagree on what kind of party they should have." Just new parents being new parents. It is however the latter part of the synopsis that also goes on to pique your curiosity, revealing that "Jackie is introduced to someone who wants to be more than friends."

This 'someone' is a guy called Neville, who happens to be the brother of our resident patriarch Dan Conner's new girlfriend, Lousie. Played by Nat Faxon, Neville is immediately smitten with Jackie and even though his sister doesn't quite seem to approve of this, it doesn't stop him. Everybody loves a man who knows what he wants and won't let family get in the way of that! Plus what does Louise even have on Jackie to be so disapproving of her brother's interest in her? Sure, Jackie can be quite the personality at times, but give her a break. She has earned it.

Neville can be seen eagerly sparking conversations with Jackie through the episode, claiming he remembers her quite well from her early years at Landford. Their conversations start with chickens that 'Dr. Neville' is trying to pluck, and Jackie being Jackie claims if she has buried her sister, she can do practically anything. Despite their chickens still needing more protein, Neville's attention is thereon captured by Jackie, no matter the dirty looks his sister Louise shoots at him. Neville brings up Jackie practicing her rifle and how he would love to accompany her should she go back into the old habit, and an aloof Jackie has no idea what's going on for the first few minutes.

When Jackie dodged it, Neville brings up the prospect of visiting her by the diner with some vitamins for the chickens sometimes so she could teach him how to twirl with brooms - something he remembers her as an expert at. Really? Where was this guy all along? He is invested and they have just been reintroduced! Is this endgame for the witty, hilarious Jackie? We sure hope so!

'The Conners' Season 3 airs on Wednesdays at 9 pm on ABC.
